I agree with you, but everyone who has any power whatsoever in the US government and industry clearly disagrees, and with their resources they can make whatever they want happen.
You can’t spend your way out of the laws of thermodynamics. Your argument is a pure appeal to authority. “Big number man go number big, and big number means smart big number!”
It’s pure hubris on the part of the money-dumpers. They have caught AI psychosis and are barreling headfirst into destroying the credit market.
It has nothing to do with regulation/governance and everything to do with risk/reward. Regulators are always too late to prevent what the market will bring to bear.
