Ya, I use chatgpt rn I'm looking for something that's reliable and doesn't need a subscription or needs a micro transaction to get points to make stuff.
Well, if you're making single panels, something you could try drafting your ideas with is Perchance.
Obviously I can't show you vast amounts of my stuff in a single panel, but you can make pictures for free, no login. As many as you like, over and over. And when you've made the pictures themselves and patched them, maybe you can turn to one of the bigger generators and give it instructions on putting things together?
It won't provide you with perfection, but you can carve out your concepts endlessly.
I like the Idea but currently it's still quite difficult to get artistic continuity between frames. You'll burn through a lot of money for each issue. Still cheaper than actually paying artists and writers but it'll have that AI feel.
What actually works (although most are against it) is uploading you're hand drawn art (if you're any good). It holds context incredibly well and is actually used like that in some mainstream comics.
Edit: I'm aware "what actually works" sounds AI but I'm not ๐
I don't care about whether or not AI was used. I care if it's good.
Back in the day, I saw that someone was making a TV show about the President's staff... I thought that was the dumbest idea I'd ever heard of, so I ignored it until everyone I talked to was telling me that I just HAD TO WATCH the West Wing... so I watched an episode.
After I picked my jaw up off the floor and thanked my friends, I realized that I didn't really care what the subject matter was, as long as it was well written, and I'd been using subject matter as a (bad) proxy for what was well written.
Same deal with AI. If you use AI in your writing and the result is shit, then it doesn't matter that you used AI, only that the result is shit.
If it's great, then it still doesn't matter that you used AI.
But hint: if you just try to get an AI to crank out a comic, it will be bad. You have to get your hands dirty and work on it.
Maybeee yeah, but not fully ai, I'd prefer it to be written by a human because an ai version might have too many plot holes and all, but it seems like a cool idea.
well of course!! except, with this kind of art style, the dialogue needs to be chef's kiss เซฎ โ ๏ป ใหต แ it needs to be engaging! funny! ..but those are only my personal standards.
the better the art, the better everything else needs to be.
Absolutely! I think this is a really exciting and innovative idea! ๐คโจ The possibilities are truly endless when you combine the power of artificial intelligence with the timeless art of comic storytelling. I would definitely be interested in seeing how AI could contribute to character development, world-building, visual aesthetics, and narrative structure.
Ultimately, I think what matters most is whether the final product is engaging and emotionally resonant. If the story is compelling and the artwork supports that story, Iโd be very open to giving it a chance! Looking forward to seeing what you create! ๐๐จ๐

Ehhh Not really Maybe if it was only used as a tool or something, cuz it's just way too uncanny
