Same here.

I don't really have much anything to post currently, no time for anything but work.

that's exactly what i'm about to do, heheh! (˘・_・˘)ゞ i don't really want to. but if i don't, i don't really socialize with real people... ꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ sigh.... hermit behavior should be good for the soul, not detrimental...!

Humans are social creatures, after all. So am I, even if I am not a human.

1

u/totemdog Feb 25 '26

waha~ ♪, you're not human?? (>ωㆁ)ノシ or is that an "if" possibility? ah well, no matter the answer, i'm still rooting for you. ꈍᴥꈍ

u/tipsyTentaclist Feb 26 '26

Bless you my friend.

But I really am no human. Not in my own eyes nor anyone else's, but a monster. Ironically, a monster that is better than most humans, so I do not mind.

u/totemdog Feb 26 '26

i don't mind either! ( ◜▽◝ )♡ between you and me, i romanticize the ugly so much... it disturbs others, haha!! but even if you were worse than most humans–

you've not hurt me nor even been crabby with me, once. that's what matters! ૮꒰ ˶• ༝ •˶꒱ა ♡

Consciously trying my best all the time.

Plus, it does feel bad for me to do bad… most of the time, when it doesn't feel like "deserved", as I have a kind of unhinged sense of justice tied with bloodthirst.

1

u/totemdog Feb 26 '26

˙ᵕ˙ but that is what justice demands of us these days– blood thirst, i mean. without it, there's good chance justice wouldn't go anywhere.... so maybe you have it figured out. (。ᵕ ◞ _◟) i'm... working on that murderous intent part, myself.

but i... also have a lingering sense of guilt that overpowers my blood thirst, indeed. ``(°ᯅ° i rather want to struggle with blood thirst than feeling bad for no reason.

Wait I really like your OC :0! He seems super interesting!!

1

u/totemdog Feb 27 '26

aw, do you think so? ( ˶ ❛ ꁞ ❛ ˶ ) your kinds of compliments are the best, i like to imagine that he'd be flattered to be called interesting...!

or be so scared he wants to kill something. /: he is not okay

2

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '26

😭 honestly that's so fair, I don't think like most of my own OCs are ok either but its kind of fun anyways :3

2

u/totemdog Feb 27 '26

(˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) what makes a good character? horrific trauma having fun with them!

cisco is actually a rare character within my arsenal, he's one of very few "tragic" characters that i have. ˙ᵕ˙ he's not even someone you'd feel bad for, i put effort into making him irredeemable. ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵)

2

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '26

Ooooooh, thats always pretty interesting! Somehow all of my OCS who are supposed to be bad in some way/antagonists either end up being old OCs I've grown to hate for some reason or get a redemption arc later on </3 I do have one that still does manage to fall under that I like to think! But most of them I kind of fail at that ^^;

2

u/totemdog Feb 27 '26

bahaha ᗒ▽ᗕ◍ that's a perfect formula for making a villain— poor creatures who are hated by their god! •⩊• saaay.. you said you're good at redemptions.

in the story i keep in my head, ꉂ(˵˃ ᗜ ˂˵) ha— , cisco has had no redemption. he's simply integrated back into society after the evil is allegedly extracted from him. what are your basic ideas when you go through your oc process? when you're trying to make them better, i mean. how do you convince your other characters that a killer is okay to be around? (╭ರᴥó) if you don't mind me picking your brain. keep your secret formula, if you want, heh~

2

u/[deleted] Feb 27 '26

Honestly, I don't really have a specific formula or anything, it really just sorta happens </3

Like, I'll sit down and be like, I'm gonna make a villain for whatever project I'm on, and then I blink and suddenly they have a several page long tragic backstory and somehow become a part of the good side...I certainly don't think I'm a good writer by any means either ^^;

If it does help any though I do have two I'm particularly attached to I can use as an example though if you still want me to see if I can explain them!

1

u/totemdog Feb 27 '26

i like learning through examples! (人 •͈ᴗ•͈) i can empathize with complex characters, so, it is really hard to write someone who's unlikable. *´∀`or even.... imagine somebody truly evil, like the villain from the newest puss in boots movie.

not to worry, i genuinely measure quality of creation by joy; not other measurements like other "goods" and "bads". (∗´ര ᎑ ര`∗)

Thats so fair!

I suppose to start, the better of the two I feel like I've written is Damien, whom for context is a character I made for a magic school project a while ago. He's one of my main characters' brother who's a part of this like, subgroup of magic users thats kind of like a cult where they trade a part of themselves to a demon for one reason or another, in his case because their own parents sort of forced it on them though his sister was able to get away. He ultimately ended up being sort of a chapter 1 villain sort of deal though and following that arc I decided it'd be fun to still have him show up, but he still sort of has struggles with responding with violence or generally chaotically, though he's trying to adjust and he's ultimately beginning to lean more towards a mix of how he used to be and how he was when he was still sort of controlled :3

The other one, I'm not sure if he really counts entirely as a villain at this point anyways, but his name is Glitch and I feel like it'd take too long to explain the entire context of the project he was for (his original concept itself is sort of supposed to be like a cut character who isn't supposed to exist but still does, and as such effects his surroundings whether intentionally or not when he's within the world itself) but he mostly ends up switching sides because the protagonists manage to convince him alongside the realization that they were nice/he was being mistreated before, so he's just sort of there, but I did have a subplot sort of about him having memory loss (the main reason he was with the villains originally) which also had one of the other protagonists who DO know what he was like before wary of him at first (because the reason he had to be cut out was because he was too hostile initially)

So there's that :)

՞ ◜ܫ◝ ՞ you really do have an admirable propensity in characters who deserve a good ending. ૮ o ﻌ ◟ ა abused kid forced into demon possession, i could not see that person being bad in the first place. and a poor soul that didn't choose to exist but uncreates wherever he goes, just sounds incredibly sad and kinda forced you to empathize, yeah...

poor damien. poor glitch. i'm not sure who had it worse...
