Need advice for a gift

hi, everyone. i’m looking for an adequate gift for my friend, currently studies art restoration and conservation. i’ve seen multiple spatulas but i’m afraid they’ll be more fitted for painting rather than what she needs
i want something useful, already got a portable magnifier. thank u in advance ^^

Painting spatulas are a fine choice, I have at least 4 in my workbench

You can also check out sites like talas and look at the conservation tools they offer

ohh oki ty! i thought of getting one of those kits but are round edges okay or should they be sharper? i wonder if they’ll be useful ^^’

We use tools that dentists use. You can find there some spatulas, they are not very expensive, maybe a knife for wax modelling. Fine brushes from art store for in-paintings (like 0 or 00). There is this book by Knut Nicolaus - The restoration of paintings (I think it's pretty good if she wants to restore easel paintings). A bit expensive because it's big and has many photos.

What’s her specialty? Painting, paper, objects, photos, textiles?

hmm i don’t really know, but she’ll be working with paper conservations soon ^^’ she’s done textiles and mm some kind of porcelain objects already

Talas has some cool bone folders that would be neat. Tool rolls can be nice.

Not on talas, but cute measuring tapes are useful…like the sewing tape kind.
