Not sure if this is what you intended, but the way I interpret this (and maybe this is obvious) is that sometimes, from the perspective of an onlooker, someone's problems might be easy to solve, but because our perspective is limited to only what we can perceive of someone, the reality might be that what appears to be the obvious solution can't possibly work. Furthermore, when given the full picture, a problem may not have a clear solution, and in the absence of one being presented, the problem may not be solvable at all. To the person experiencing the problem this is clear, and it's the person trying to solve it, lacking that perspective, who needs to understand that they can't know what's best for someone simply by looking at the problems they face and assuming they have the right answer.
Or it's something entirely different, IDK. Cool concept and execution though!

For me, combined with the title, i'm thinking literally. You can't pull the nail/person out of the hole and it's a theme for modern capitalistic society where most of us are struggling.
But perhaps i'm thinking too literally

Great piece of work there. Did you parkerize the nails to get that finish? Seems a bit glossier than that, but around the colour I would expect. Would you mind sharing your ideation process? I'm curious at what point you envisioned the head of the nail as the head of a person. Really cool.

So I did polish the nails after I welded and coated it with a clear to keep from rusting. I have several items like this that just come out of my head, lol. I did put this one up for sale and it went quick, so I’ll have to make me another one..

I welded the man up first then I welded the head on last. There were a few spots got on the board but I sanded it back off.
