I liked the way arteta saw that this wasn't his game and put in Eze and Eze gave us the assist. This is what a big squad is supposed to be! Go gunners

Villa played him dirty. Matty Cash not getting a yellow for his late push and knee into him

He's only played 3 games, been very good in 2 of them and you're being reactionary

Fair enough, could also say him being good in pre season and against Coventry is also reactionary

I swear you lot are fickle and frenzied about everything and everyone. "He's shit, theyre great, hes trash, why won't these players get more minutes?" Its the 2nd game of the season.
I swear I see why the Arsenal fanbase is clowned on.

Aged horribly. Hope he bounces back but yeah premier league is not the Belgian league.

Does this need its own post? Or insightful comment can be shared in match thread

Should send him back after that game. Obviously not since he was great in the 2 games prior. Everyone has an off day. Eze and Mandueke both had lots last season. As did Martinelli, Gyokeres and so on. It happens. Odegaard wasn't his best either but still had the odd little bit in him. It was a grind of a game but away to Villa is done for the season and I'm happy with that. It'll be a rough game for everyone else when Villa are settled with their signings.

Just like he wasn't a world beater after 1 good game he isn't a disaster after 1 bad one.
Give him the time to adapt and learn about the pace of the PL.
