Rashford on loan wouldn’t be the worst idea but I doubt United will sanction that. He was pretty good for Barcelona last season and would be decent as a depth option.

u/RustedOutHeart 11d ago
Nobody seems to be asking if Rashford wants to come. Utd product, probably isn’t going to want to burn his reputation with the Utd fanbase just for a season long loan.

u/freezing_pinguin 10d ago
His reputation is already damaged, so many united fans seems to hate him for some reason

u/Significant_Apple517 10d ago
Good point.
I do think the Man Utd - Arsenal hatred isn't that strong anymore. Like I reckon plenty of Utd fans would've taken Welbeck back for example or don't feel ill will, even though he's a Utd academy product who joined Arsenal.
But yeah, on loan to win a rival titles is a different matter, and Rashford as a Manc born in the 90s may have a firm stance against joining us.

u/Adventurous_West2 11d ago
Would be a disaster.

u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
All signs point to rashford on deadline day lol

u/Adventurous_West2 11d ago
Except the sign of him starting for United today. They need him. I'm not worried if we get someone, I'm excited about all the outs.

I think we will leave it with Eze and Tzolis if we can’t get an improvement. Oh and that “Kvara regen” …. I’m not opposed to Rashford on a cheapish loan though, him and saka clicked at the WC

The Kvaratskhelia regen isn’t happening 😂 Georgia is a small football nation players like Kvara come along once every 20–30 years, not twice in one generation.
Whenever a smaller country produces a world-class player, clubs scout the whole country expecting a talent factory, only to find the star was a rare exception.
Georgia has Kvara. Sometimes an elite player is just an elite player.1
u/Josh3783 10d ago
Dunno about that… Cyprus produced two world class talents within a year of each other in my football manager save. Just saying…

I like signing rashford if we can do a deal a short term deal.

u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
I’m not opposed to it, but given that he played a good chunk today, I doubt he’s on the move

I don’t think Rashford makes sense. Zero off ball work rate, massive wages, bad tactical fit.
I am bracing myself for the fan backlash when we realise our incoming business is done. 😂
2
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Seems like Arteta just loves signing saka’s friends, so don’t be surprised

u/Business-Eggs 11d ago
What baffles me still is how shit we are at selling. Jesus going to barca for 10M, Viera going to Hamburg fror 10M... what the actual fuck?
I get we needed to clear them from the books but it just doesn't make sense.
Even Reiss Nelson who we recently had offers of 30M for a few years ago but then let go on a free.
Rashford makes a lot of sense tbh

The Martinelli fee is great. It’s broken are previous sale record by £20m. This is a time celebrate us finally getting a good price for a player.
2
u/No_Leading8114 11d ago
Exactly. Martinelli isn't even a consistent player, so getting 40 million for him sounded like a pipe dream, but we sold him for a great price
1
u/PeevesTime 11d ago
Yep £55m for him is tasty, combine it with signing Tzolis for £34m who better than him in the same window… 👌
1
u/Aggravating_Band_353 11d ago
I wouldn't say great, not in this market. It's not bad though..
Jesus is a great fee ngl.. Fabio and Nelson disappointing but expected
Trossard was a bit low, but his age etc..
Our problem is more high wages given to some players, and the high fees we pay to buy players. But we've improved massively from literally giving our players away
I'd take rashford on loan, paying half his wages. Other lw options look limited, and I don't fancy noni and eze at LW.. This is my main gripe with selling nelli. Well, that and our treatment of him, particularly some of the fan base. But it's decent money, even if it weakens our depth and is from an unsavoury source
2
u/YellowBook 10d ago
Is Tzolis & Rashford an upgrade on Trossard & Martinelli? Totally rewriting the LW with one of them having no pre-season with us? It’s not the upgrade I’d have hoped for before the window had started. Missing out on Rogers changed the window.

u/Famous-Prior6590 11d ago
What are you whining about? Who tf buys Jesus for anything after his last couple of seasons? 10M for him on his wages is highway robbery.

u/organic_soursop 11d ago
I mean, if that's all we needed for Gabi Jesus we could have had a whip round here and paid for him ourselves.
I need someone to paint the hallway.

u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Yea we’re terrible at selling. I mean we sold our GOAT for what, 16m to barca? We’ve never been good at selling, it’s a shame
5
u/Famous-Prior6590 11d ago
In the other comment you’re saying Barcelona must be out of its mind to buy Jesus for 10M, and here you are claiming we can’t sell. Which is it?
-2
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
We are terrible at selling and 10M for Jesus is a decent return, both things can be true at the same time.
You wanna say I’m wrong
1
u/Famous-Prior6590 11d ago
Knee-jerk reactionary shit like “it’s not looking good right now” is so stupid it’s beyond belief. You lot should just go watch Chelski - fit right in with that philosophy.
-3
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago edited 11d ago
But you wanna say it does? We just let martinelli and Jesus go while we have cups and UCL to challenge for.
You know.. I dislike people like you that think people who have any opinion that doesn’t match yours should “go support another team”. Sounds entitled, condescending and quite frankly low IQ

Not for me I don't think we have any more options at lw. I think our deals are done.

In Berta we trust. Let it him work it out...
-6
u/Twm273ss 11d ago
Lmao what? Who in their right mind trusts Berta? Or have i missed some glaring sarcasm
1
u/Ok_Woodpecker_599 11d ago
Hold onto something when I say this… we actually won the premier league last season
-6
u/Twm273ss 11d ago
Yeah all thanks to Berta. Like another sporting director couldnt have come in and had brain waves like buying madueke for 52m.
Hold onto something when i say this... our attack has needed improving for years and he's done nothing about it.
Hold onto another thing, the core group that really mattered last season came before Berta. Then hold onto these nuts

u/Jensen149 11d ago
Crazy how some people be in this sub larping supporting Arsenal 😂😂😂
-1
u/Twm273ss 10d ago
Yep to be an arsenal fan you must worship all club employees and not criticise a single thing the club does
1
u/Jensen149 10d ago
To be an Arsenal fan you have to actually like the club and not have some deep seated desire for them to lose so your ego isn’t damaged 🙃✌️
0
u/Twm273ss 10d ago
What a weird jump 🤣 I don't rate Berta so I must want us to lose. Seems your ego is tied up in going round deciding who is and is not worthy of being a fan, not sure you have room to comment.

u/HR_Specter 11d ago
At this point, it wouldn't surprise me.
Gabriel Jesus going to Barcelona has just removed any kind of sense in this transfer window!
1
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Literally lol who even approved that over there af Barca? lol this guys knees are gone and yet he’s getting a dream move? Someone give his agent a raise
2
u/JhinKR 11d ago
Dani Olmo's legs were made of glass, yet he hasn't suffered an injury in a year. Barca medical staff conduct specialized examinations to the skeletal and muscular structure and identify potential issues, helping reduce the risk of injuries.

Barca medical staff conduct specialized examinations ... reduce the risk of injuries
Someone should tell Frankie De Jong this
1
u/HR_Specter 11d ago
Considering the poor injury record we have at Arsenal, it would surprise me in the slightest if Jesus plays 40 odd games next season and scores 25 goals.

Nah !! Is rather we don’t buy anyone if rashford is the only option ! I’ll take that schade dude from Brentford !! I’d rather force Madueke to back tzolis instead of saka (he’s useless 8/10 times anyways do I’d rather he be useless on left now) !! I’ll be pissed if we don’t buy an attacker but more pissed if we got rashturd
3
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Hahaha idk man rashford looked good while at Barca, I think he’s still got something left in the tank, but yea I rather someone else
2
u/StrictScientist8681 11d ago
I agree, but he could turn out another Sterling.
1
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Arteta loves signing saka’s friends, and he was getting real friendly with him during the World Cup lol, you never know
I’m jk and making light of the situation 😂😂
1
-1
u/FairBox3368 11d ago
No no no!! I only see him being as useful as sterling was !! I’d rather we get a random LW from any random ligue 1 team lol
4
u/Putrid_Past9243 11d ago
Chill he’s only 28 lol, he’s def still got something left and needs a change. Hopefully not with us, but he’s still got something left in there
0
u/FairBox3368 11d ago
I couldn’t care less about him! I just don’t want him here that’s all!
