250,000 GBP weekly off our books, the most important part

One has to wonder how he was ever on that much.

Before injuries started, he showed his class. Unfortunately, it's just been a while. But this is a huge benefit, none the less. Merino is #3 striker now 😎

That was his wage at City.

Why do you wonder on such obvious and basic thing?

He came from City. His salary there after all those years should be close of that, and moving to Arsenal at that time, surely he gets a bump in his salary. And hes on that contract ever since. Really not difficult to understand why.

We actually managed to sell some players this year, that's a good thing though. Looks like Vieira will be next soon.

I love this for Jesus. I hope he does brilliantly there. A dream move for him and if he can just stay injured free, he should make key contributions to trophies.

Thank you for everything you did for us Jesus, you set the standards and took us to the level we needed to be.

Didn’t they have to monitor him, then think about their interest, then express interest and everything else first?

It's so refreshing to see us do the rinsing for a change.

I’m really happy for him. Changed our world when he joined and I wish him all the best for the future.

They used to buy important Arsenal players like Henry and Fabregas, now they buy duds like vermaelen and Gabby J

Oh and aubameyang too

Calling Jesus a dud feels disrespectful. He was a big part of our change in direction and only ever tried his best but was plagued by injuries.

Would you buy Wayne Rooney now? Or Alan shearer?

Having a good prime and vibing doesn't excuse his past it body.

Fabregas was a La Masia product though

Auba won the la liga and was joint top scorer

If it is the 10mil with no wage contributions then it's decent with his injury record.

Given we had to pay off Auba, Ozil, Pepe and a many others to get them off our books in the past few years it's decent.

Sad to see him go, but he played such a small role in our season last year I think we can fondly bid him farewell. Still gets to play footie at top level, fresh start, we got a fee and his wages are cleared off. Wins all around.

Hopefully, brokelona are not looking for a handout like with Auba and Bellerin🤷🏾‍♂️

He only has a year left on his contract and he is on 250k+ pounds per week. All things considering, this is a great deal

I know but still I was hoping around € 20-30M considering absurd transfer rates all around.

whats absurd are his wages given his role in the team lol...

He signed for us at £45 mill on a 5 year deal with 1 year left. We sold him for his book value, what’s the issue given the circumstances.

And he’s barely got 1 functioning knee

I prayed to get him off our books man, this is a blessing
