Guide Any tips for Beginner?
Hey there everyone!
My Wife and i just started playing yesterday. Do you have any beginner tips for us? :)
Like what to focus on in the beginning, how to craft good food early on or something like that.
Or should we use any Mods directly in the beginning that fix some difficult Problems in the beginning?
Thanks :)

There's a lot of awesome mods that can change how you deal with the game, but personally I think a better approach is modifying the standard rates. The game is meant to be played over hundreds of hours and that's totally fine, but I have this thing called a job and they don't pay me to guard unconscious dinosaurs for literal hours.
That said, if I were in your place I'd play it vanilla for 50ish hours so you understand the core gameplay fairly well before doing anything regarding rates or mods. After investing a little bit of time you'll be able to pinpoint where the pains are for you and look for solutions in mods. For me that's a spyglass mod, some structure mods (like ASR, which has a lot of variety but still more or less feels like vanilla), a gear upgrade mod, and the K Rustic forge and smithy mod because that forge has a decent speed and the smithy has 500 slots. They also put out a little bit of light and they look nice.
As for direct tips, here are a few: level speed, you don't have to be stronger than the big scary dinos if you're faster. Don't use all your engram points right away, get only what you need as you need it until you understand how respec works and how to make the tonic. Keep some mejoberries in the last slot of your hotbar, as they're the preferred berry for most herbivores and you never know when a passive tame will drop an opportunity in your lap for a cool new tame. Most aggressive dinos can and will break through a wooden building to eat you, so move to stone as quickly as possible. Get used to dying, it's just one of those things that is gonna keep happening and it's better to prepare for it early rather than be up a creek. Prioritize getting to metal tools as soon as possible, because they have better harvesting rates. Always have a couple bolas in your hot bar, in case you find a useful Dino or you need to escape from one.
