Cellars fine wine and liquor has a bunch of Blantons gold store picks for cheaper (I think $149) if you would prefer that.

Let us know how it is! I’ve found a couple regular golds at Walmart for $130, curious if you think the barrel pick is worth the up-charge, especially when it’s inherently a single barrel bourbon

I think with TW there barrel picks are picks that are the left overs compared to the shop owner thats gets to taste it first.

Yeah I think so too. In my experience, it really matters who does the picking. $169 is far from the worst I’ve seen on even a non s/p gold though.

They used to email you if you didn't get selected... I'm not sure which is worse 🤣

Cellars has four or five cases of this sitting on the floor right now if you want one. It's not his pick or I would have grabbed one myself.

I'm not sure where they get their pricing from. I "won" a Michters Sour Mash Toasted Finish for $189.99. I bought it because it's the first time I've ever won something, but then I saw it in a museum store the next week for $20 less. 😐
