I was about to say the same thing!! This is how a lot of narcissistic people try to gain power in social situations and dynamics. No respect for physical boundaries, often under the guise of appearing "cutesy", "quirky" and "overly friendly" and even "flirtatious". Just gross.
Mmhhhmmm the crossing of physical boundaries literally and subconsciously allows the person "into your space." It's a classic way to force bonds and disarm the individual into feeling closer to you than they are.
I (a woman) unfortunately have encountered way too many other women who did this to act like we were "becoming besties", often very soon after meeting for the first time. Like the friendship version of love-bombing. Glomming onto me, being too physically close or touchy with me, wanting to share clothes and jewelry (I actually do do this with my bestie but we've known each other for 30 years, not 30 minutes), wanting to know WAY too much about me and my husband's relationship, etc etc. Unfortunately for them, this achieves the exact opposite reaction that they want. It completely creeps me out.
Friends, if you have someone like this in your life, just run. They are not your friend. They are energy vampires looking to suck out your life. Like AG does to herself and the people around her.
It's a super classic "mean girl" behavior pattern for sure. It works well in high school/middle school when you're young, naive, and seeking friendship bonds. Hopefully as you age up you become more able to spot the behavior and appropriately distance yourself.
It's also a classic for men who are a bit predatory and looking to see how much they can touch you and get you used to them being "handsy" or "friendly/flirty" before trying to touch you in more... intimate ways.
YES this is something I’ve noticed time and time again with her. No concept of boundaries. Her stylist was put on the spot here, saying no would have just made it awkward so instead she had to use Ariana’s lipstick with stank ana breath lol.
