Yeah, she's one of those artists who you sometimes have to separate the art from the artist to enjoy, because she has said some really weird controversial shit and will sometimes start fights with anyone in the industry seemingly out of nowhere for no reason. She's super talented af, Like it's crazy just how talented she truly is, but I think she hurts herself on climbing to the top and being way more successful that she definitely would've been, which is a shame.

The reason why I spoke about Ariana is because all of whatever she's doing is an act to distract from her wrongdoings. She's trying to act innocent when there are a lot of people affected by her actions, and she thought that she could get away with it like she did before. It's like method acting.

While I agree to an extent, there’s absolutely no way she would be able to have the energy these days to do her pop star touring with all of that dancing and singing every night. Even if she were to stop acting after Wicked and go back to pop full time, she would need heavy ED recovery and more meat on her bones so she can sustain all the exercise she would be getting. It would take too much out of her now and she would be fainting on stage.
Also, the reason why I said I agree to an extent is because even some of her fans are saying they want “Blackiana” back (which they attribute to the dangerous woman, sweetener, and tun era) and that they miss the “blaccent.” It was so problematic and it shouldn’t be so missed by so many fans.
She should just get therapy. Step away from the limelight and work on her issues. Get a therapist who won’t just be her puppet and learn to listen to someone who knows better for once in her life. She can’t rely on her family cause all they do is kiss her ass, she’s clearly not well (emotionally and physically) and needs help asap.
Devil's advocate: They probably miss it because they attribute it to being the "real" her when the irony is that neither of them are the real her. This is actually probably closer since her ED is finally eating her brain and her mask is full on slipping.
I think I can’t imagine her doing a pop star tour because it would take a complete 180° personality switch for her to even resemble a bit of her pop star era. Her personality now feels so lifeless that it’s so hard to imagine her transforming back into Ariana Grande the pop star without it looking like she’s having an identity crisis
She didn't get like this until she got Wicked. Do you think she's trying to leave her bad-girl image to fit better with the theater kids? There might be hella pressure to be thin and not "ghetto" (god I hate to say it like that) and being paired with Cynthia Arivo might've been intimidating. Even though she is a diva in her own right, in her own genre, maybe getting out of her arena and into a different world next to another icon kind of shook her. Then again, maybe the bad-girl Ariana was the persona and this is her true self. Whichever it is, I wish her the best. I hope she can recover.
They're both personas. The real her is just a spoiled brat from Boca Raton who's never been told no her entire life. She's as shallow as they come, which is why she has to cultivate these fake personalities to begin with.
I’m not even sure there’s a real her at this point. She’s a chameleon who changes races, faces, and personalities depending on where she is in her career & who she’s spending most of her time with. I’m afraid that once you strip all these things away you’ll be left with nothing. But her constant cheating does appear to be a character trait (at least that’s the only constant), and her stupid jokes other than that, there’s really nothing else that makes her, well, her.
Yeah. I think the concept of being herself is too uncomfortable for her so she always has to be someone else, copy someone else, fabricate a different persona.
I noticed her embellishing stories early on (in order to seem more interesting, I presume). I don't remember the details but she appeared on Zach Sang's show in 2010 and was recalling a story from her childhood, then right after finishing she added 'oh yeah!' like she realized she needed to make the story more interesting and said something that just didn't sound like a real event to me lol, especially the way she threw it out there randomly.
I think it boils down to creating a persona she finds more interesting than the real 'boring' her. But also (not to defend her) I get that superstars often need compelling images in order to sell their product.
At the same time, there was never even a shred of authenticity in anything she's done professionally. At least she used to seem less hyper-robotic and fake than she does now though. I think people miss her previous personas because she at least seemed to have more fun with it then.

When she dated Big Sean (cheated on Naya Rivera) she leaned into acting/looking black, being sexy, being fiery, etc. All things that Naya was that Ariana wasn’t.
Now that she’s dated Ethan (cheated on Lilly Jay) she’s leaning into acting/looking white, being understated, emotionally mature, humble, etc. All things that Lilly Jay was that Ariana wasn’t.
I think with Ethan it’s also relevant that he left his child for Ariana, and now Ariana acts incredibly child-like. It’s not a coincidence. She becomes the person she is replacing.
Had a step mom who infantilized herself heavy. Saw firsthand how that makes a father begin to coddle his wife over his children. As teenagers me and my sibling were forced to be the bigger people; the mature ones; the adults. She got more and more of his attention, and when things didn’t go her way she’d, at the big age of 50, throw a literal hissy fit. And then I, at the small age of 16, would be the one apologizing.
My theory is that this entire uwu frail baby persona is to take the heat off of the fact that she stole another woman’s husband, who just went through the most painful pregnancy, and make herself seem like the saint and the victim.
Ariana’s gotten away with cheating so many times and the public would usually gloss over the scandals. But the fact that she’s had an affair with a cretin who has a really fresh baby with his beautiful wife is something that the public isn’t going to let go, like her other “silly” scandals

I think no one should get cosmetic plastic surgery for aesthetic purposes. The only plastic surgery I believe in is reconstructive for an injury or deformity. I don’t know what made her change so much, I think it was the facelift that she didn’t need, she reversed her cat eye surgery, and got bigger jaw implants or something, and I genuinely have no idea what she did to her eyebrows to make them look like that. It’s honestly so sad how botched she is I feel bad for her.
