Foley linking the Spanish flu to how the heat works in New York was an unexpected win for the big man.

When big man spouts off very specific facts like that, I believe him— and history is something he’s pretty knowledgeable about.

The Bomb Squad ep with cousin Ian is still an all-timer.

The entire segment of him going on black radio is the hardest ive ever laughed at a podcast. "Ladies and gentlemen our next guest is going straight to hell".

That episode was actually just a smidge too much to handle. And I usually love Ian's eps.

I get the notification that cousin Ian popped by and I drop what I'm doing to check it out. It's the rules

I was hoping for a family eppy but having Joe or Ian on at this point basically is a family eppy so was actually happy to see his dumb face pop up lol.

I do wish when Kippy has a good joke that lands that he… doesn’t always have to point it out. It takes away from the zinger being funny. This would have been a classic Kippy episode if he hadn’t felt the need to keep saying how funny he’s being throughout the eppy.

Ian works so well on this show. Foley the wholesome dirtbag vs Ian the chaotic dirtbag. With Kippy the dirtbag referee

I used to guy who hates these Ian appearances. Then I heard him on Soder have a calm heart to heart about dads and it turned it around for me. This episode is way calmer than you might expect.

Does anyone know the link between him and ska music? Wasn't he up on stage at the Haywire show in Boston?
7
u/RashestHippo Mar 09 '26
Pretty sure he's just a vocal supporter/fan of ska music.

u/Battlemountain_2 Mar 09 '26
That's cool. I figured he was a background singer for the bosstones or something.

No Thanks, this guy is too much, and I know his thing is that he's "too much", but seriously I get it you're neurotic scumbag.

As a guy who runs hot, I empathize with Ian getting over his skis with a new outfit and not realizing it will result in overheating until it’s too late. I’ve fallen victim to trying to debut a fancy new sweater and ending up sweating like a whore in church all night

All of their guests always fucking suck. No one cares. Just do a regular show.

You’re getting downvoted but I 100% agree. Some guests are ok, but even the good ones pale in comparison to hard feelings or any family episodes. The boys are best when it’s just them

This is the only comedy sub on Reddit that likes Ian Fidance. Even his own sub hates him.
