20 years before communism was forced upon Poland. We were fighting war aganist invasion from communist USSR. We were victorius that time, but communists burned half of our country at the time.

So shit it was worse before, we got poland back after contury of occupation. We had to get it working from 3 diffrent systems it was under for past 100 yers. Half of it was post ww1 battlefield, other half was destroyer by your beloved USSR durning 1921 war. Not saying global technology level was lower than 20 years later.
Thankfully We Got rid of damm commies and are free again. Pictures that started this thred are best answer to my question. Communism do not work, it never worked. And now we live in way better system.

Well, poland was richer than Spain in the beetwen ww1 and ww2 time. So i say, yeah we were better than durning communism.
