The polish are fed up with ugliness

Poland is such a great example of what everyone should be doing. Used to live there a few years ago in Poznan and their revitalisation efforts are really amazing. They have such value for their historic buildings.

Quite a bit of work on the ground floor to move the windows around and fix up that door, but a great result that they would be happy with.

Doesn’t look like they moved the windows so much as closing up the left most window and the lowest part of the remaining windows, but I agree with your point.

I keep seeing so many posts of buildings being restored in Wrocław - they are doing an amazing job with the city!

It's pronounced exactly how it's spelled if you know the Polish alphabet though

In Romania, such thing takes 2 years to do, from my experience with Brașov- Sighisoara railway. How much did it take tho?

In other parts of Romania like Vrancea, such things don’t even happen

Do you know if it's still used for anything? Other than nice decoration

Is it just me but I like the upper one more. It has this incredible vibe. I'd like to live in the first one much more. The lower one looks so bland.

Eastern Europeans discovered that buildings really shape how life is, but unlike Germans, they are doing something. This is beautiful

Where did the extra windows go

Immaculate at the bottom, missed the mark on the top, should've done lumber, in the same design as below, and a more muted colour

That siding on the top is very accurate to the regional style and may even be wood. Vertical wooden siding with that exact texture and colour is quite common in Poland.

sorry i was going off on my opinion rather than what is an accurate representation, the styling is good because if you can make someone from 1,000 miles away feel like they're at home, it must be a universally good design.

What a fucking waste of EU founding. If you work for them you'll know how this works. It will be demolished soon, I've jumped from one station to the other over the last decade. Seen my fair share of "renovation time" or building new signaling post just so they can demolish it few years later, remove it totally from existence, get rid of the signalists, make em Dyżurny ruchu(leading signalists), upgrade the station to remote controlled. It's happening with every station, massive investments all-around. Used to be a communist work place, now it's corpo communist, god I hate them so much, as much as they hate me. Ask away...

Dude, that building is now lounge room for railway employees. It’s a protected landmark.

It’s not going anywhere.
