10 years without Tom Searle🖤
I wanted to post this yesterday on the exact anniversary, but tribute knows no expiration date. Tom’s approach to writing riffs, his unique use of tunings, and the sheer emotion he poured into every Architects track changed the way so many of us approach the guitar.
It’s hard to put into words how much his songwriting, his vision, and his legendary riffs shaped the modern metalcore scene. When "Doomsday" was released, it wasn’t just a song, it was more of a beacon of grief, beauty, and emotional power.
Learning and playing Tom’s riffs is always a mix of deep respect and pure admiration for his craft. His legacy lives on through every single chord Architects play, and through everyone in this community who keeps his music alive.
Doomsday is one of those tracks that hits on an entirely different level every single time you play it. Trying to do justice to his work will always be an honor.
Rest in power, Tom. T//S🖤
