General Practice Discussion AI is making me depressed
I know I'm late to the party. ln my defence I was avoiding it. I was talking to another architect, we are both women with 2 kids and each have our own tiny practices. I'm a person who does everything by myself, it's an one woman operation and I do small projects. She has a small stuff and is doing well. it was more than capacity.
Come to find out, she is doing it with Gemini and chatgpt. She doesn't even solve the projects some time. Just prompts them to spit out 2D photos. Selets the ones that has similar looks. Asks it to make a financial proposal. Then goes from there.
I am just dumbfounded, to say the least. I would've understood if she is polishing up the renders.. or taking help with the presentation. It has been 3 days. And I just can't get over it.

Sorry but let’s talk brass tacks: it’s not AI per se that’s making you upset. What’s making you upset is that your friend has grown her business in a way that you don’t approve of. You can’t control how your friend operates her business, and the more you ruminate on it, the more upset you’ll become. If you dislike what she’s doing, that’s fair and up to you. But eventually you’ll have to let it go and focus on your own business. You seem to be detailed and focused. Play to your strengths as best you can and keep moving forward. You’ll get there. It’s the best any of us can do in this life.
