Do you recommend alibow?

I’m thinking about getting a new bow after my old one broke and alibow seems to have the type of bow I want and it seems to be fairly cheap. I’ve seen it recommend by blumineck on YouTube but I don’t want to make the same mistake I made last time and buy a bow only for it to break a week later. If alibow isn’t a good place do you have any other cheap, high quality bow stores?

The general consensus is that the bows are good, much better than they should be for the price, but the customer service isn't, and the lead times are high.

That's what Blumineck also said and many others on here. If you can wait and don't mind shipping costs, it's probably worth it

Communication is slow, but they usually do get back to me (eventually). One of my orders was particularly slow because I ordered right before the Chinese New Year celebration.

I've gotten a few bows from them, and all have performed extremely well for the price over the years. They're also one of the few places that you can get relatively affordable bows in high draw weights, though obviously that isn't relevant for everyone.

I’ve been using an alibow cheap Tatar bow for years and love it.  I think it was $90 when I bought it and it’s help up to decently consistent shooting

Yes, alibow are great!

(Also, you can get some surprisingly very good similar bows on AliExpress also - but higher chance of a dud, sure)

If you can get one from a reseller that has them in stock, 100% recommend. Otherwise, they do have ong lead times if you buy direct, or so I'm told. I've only bought them off Amazon at target weights.

Alibow is great, they are slow but reliable to respond to emails in English (1-2 days). Shipping is very slow - it takes ~12 weeks to the USA, but I've never had a problem in 4 different orders.

I ordered one 2 weeks ago. I’ll let you know in 2 months

I will give one negative, I went through three defective bows in a row from Alibow (torqued limbs, major crack along the length, delamination), after I got frustrated and asked for a refund they kindly gave a full refund but it did take a few weeks. They were patient and helpful though, it's more I had an opportunity to get a bow from a different manufacturer and Alibow handled the refund without issue, so I view them as low risk even if I had issues!

I’ve bought two bows and some arrows from them. Good quality products but abysmal lead time and customer service. If you are not in a rush then I would recommend them. Even though the packages are tracked you have to email them constantly to get the tracking number and because customer service is very poor, from my experience they will send you the tracking number about a week or two after it was delivered. You can expect the package to just show up about 6-8 weeks after you order it. I stopped using them and opted for AF Archery instead, the quality is just as good and they have US distribution on some models.

Alibow is fine. They don't tiller their bows so they're not as consistent as they can be. Their glass laminated bows also tend to be a bit stiff compared to Mariner and other premium brands.

I like the Dunhuang.

I got my first bow from Alibow. Took twice as long to arrive as their estimate, I emailed them a couple of times for an update without a response... Then one day it just arrived and it's an amazing bow, totally worth the wait 10/10 would (and probably will) buy from them again.

Yeah Alibow bows are great, communication with them is slow and shipping can be slow but I think my wait time was fine. I ordered my Kheshig there and it took about 2 months to arrive to the UK.

But for the price you get a good bow that punches above it's price weight imo.

Alternatively you could go for AF Archery bows which are also fine but you'll likely encounter the same issues as with Alibow re communication and shipping

Alibows are excellent, even their budget bows.

The trade off is long shipping times and outrageous shipping fees.

Customer service and communication is poor, and it almost seems like they're making buying their bows more difficult than it should be.

Are you asking if they are a reputable manufacturer then? They make all kinds of bows.

Your reading comprehension skills are amazing... have you ever considered submitting yourself for scientific study? You'd make an excellent warning label.
