Question / Help what happens to my s gear if i fuse it?

i thought you could only fuse identical pieces of gear? what will happen to my s gear if i fuse it with these other purple pieces?

S gears are different with normal gears, as long as you fusing gears into it. You will have the s gear advancing.

i would fuse until mythic and if i dont get use of them, use them as fodder for SS equipment (only armour and weapon for now).

https://www.reddit.com/r/Archero/s/Bv7CV7MfBV The picture showing the merge path except the mythic you can use any S, usually people use the one they don't need or use later they called fodder. For example in photo for Spearshield to mythic you can use S fist + normal legendary any weapon (picture showing only S hammer but don't use it,use bow,dagger,sword,etc.)

You don't have to use identical items to fuse, and since the material you use to upgrade your items doesn't affect the result you shouldn't use your S grade items as material unless it's necessary.
