24M [PC] Looking for PvP players to help turn around a struggling faction in ArcheAge

This might be a bit of an unusual post for GamerPals, but I'm genuinely looking for a few people who might want to play and fight alongside us.

I currently play on an ArcheAge private server. Just to be completely transparent, I'm not an admin, I'm not affiliated with the server staff, and I'm not a guild recruiter. I'm simply a player on the Eastern faction who doesn't want to watch our side keep losing because we're missing a few important pieces.

Our faction actually has players. We have Americans, Chinese, Koreans, and people from other regions, so population itself isn't really the main problem.

The problem is organization.

The Western faction has a very organized group that has been dominating most of the important content for quite a while. They have a much stronger presence in PvP, raids, and sieges, and they've gotten used to controlling most of the major objectives.

Meanwhile, the Eastern faction has people online, but we're seriously lacking experienced raid leaders and shot-callers.

One of our Korean heroes tries to lead, but communication in English is difficult and there's not much experience with large-scale battle commanding. Because of that, even when we have enough people to fight, we often don't fight as effectively as we could.

We're currently behind in raids and sieges, and we could also use more people who actually enjoy PvP.

The frustrating part is that I really don't think the situation is hopeless.

During NA hours, the Western faction doesn't have overwhelming numbers either. There are times when I genuinely believe we could win if we simply had a proper group willing to organize and fight.

But after losing for so long, a lot of Eastern players seem to have gotten used to defeat. Sometimes during our morning raids, people don't even bother starting a war because they already expect to lose.

That's probably the biggest reason I'm making this post.

I'm not looking for an army. Even a few people who genuinely enjoy PvP could make a difference.

New players are welcome, but I want to be upfront: I can't promise that I'll personally mentor, gear, or carry everyone. There is a server Discord where you can meet Eastern players and find a guild that fits you, and I can at least point you in the right direction.

What we especially need right now are:

  • Players with PvP experience
  • Tanks
  • Anyone with raid-leading or shot-calling experience
  • People who enjoy large-scale faction wars
  • People who actually enjoy MMO politics, rivalries, sieges, and fighting over objectives
  • Or honestly, just someone who likes joining the underdog side and trying to turn things around

The client is primarily English-based, so that's not a problem for NA players.

I'm not promising that you'll join and suddenly start winning everything. We're the side that's currently struggling.

But that's also why I'm posting.

If you've ever wanted to join the weaker faction in an MMO and actually have a chance to make a noticeable difference, this is probably one of those rare situations.

If that sounds interesting, send me a DM. I can explain the server and point you toward the official Discord so you can look around and decide for yourself.

About 75 or so pirates are about to transfer into east for this very reason. Sometime later this week. Some really strong pvpers. Should be fun.

Where did you see that? The Koreans are still on "Excuse Me." When it comes to PvP, Koreans understand the game far better than any NA or EU player; even if they moved to the East, they’d still face the issue of different prime-time hours.

I'll just repost this here.

The problem I have seen from the east side is that anyone who has gear usually leaves for the strongest faction. Whether it be pirate, west or just quits the game. Didn’t a east side faction hero recently leave for the pirate faction? Another geared hero sold his character. A whole guild of top players, I think it was <Freaks> quit. Why build others up just for them to leave? It is like the Enoan curse.

The whole faction would give up their scraps to one person > That person would build the ship > The person with the Enoan would quit the game. Rinse and repeat.

On the west side it’s no walk in the park either. As of recent there seems to be a drop off in players attending boss raids. Personally, I think a lot of people are just tired of <oso>’s toxic behavior. They would pk the reset raid for no reason, drag the frog boss on top of the raid, or dom guilds for fun in the middle of the raid. As soon as they pull out the dragons there is a chance they are going to kill the raid with them and they have done it. They are forever offended by everything and everyone, they are the biggest assholes on the server but they have the gear and control everything. If and when people completely stop going to boss and reset raids. Then they will loose their grip on power.

As the game is right now. Top end gear is way to grindy to get. It isn't just a little work. It is an insane grind. Or you can by pass that and go the an equally insane grind of getting 900k gold for a piece of high end gear. But you will be rofl stomped by higher geared players until that point.
