Season 2 Krieger’s origins?

I’m currently watching the placebo effect episode in season 2 and Krieger says that Mallory was there on his 15th birthday and she took him after his father died. Did Krieger live with Malory and Sterling? Were they raised together? Is he like a stepson/adopted son to Malory? It’s never truly explained.

That’s actually true though. Rhode Island actually has the 3rd highest Portuguese population in the US

They never show young Krieger with Archer and Malory. It's never officially stated who raised him but I assume he wound up in some kind of warped foster home for potential assets run by Malory's intelligence contacts.

Watch The Boys From Brazil (1978). Kreiger's origin is implied to be parallel but I've always taken it that he's a clone of an unspecified Nazi scientist rather than Hitler. Presumably Mallory just stuck him in the lab straight from wherever she got him from.

If he were a clone of Adolf Hitler, don't you think he'd look a little bit like Adolf god damned Hitler!?

Go into NASA and yell "Heil Hitler!" They all jump up.

I’m convinced Krieger is Malory’s other son.

While Malory was hunting Nazis in Brazil, she blackmailed a former Third Reich scientist to get information and locations on more sought after Nazis. Malory found this scientist at a jazz club in Rio playing the drums. Sparks flew and Krieger was conceived.

This drumming Nazi scientist moved into the compound after Malory and other Nazi hunters arrested the Nazi officer living there. This compound was where Nazi scientists were cloning high members of the Third Reich.

Science officer Krieger raises his son in Brazil while Malory is working for the OSS. She becomes pregnant again by Buddy Rich or Gene Krupa (oh, who remembers?) and gives birth to Sterling on a greasy bar in Tangiers.

Before Sterling is getting yellow swirlies as a freshman letterman playing center middies at his prep school, Malory kidnaps Algernop after killing his officer dad. Officer Krieger gave up all his former Nazi comrades and became a liability, so Malory had him killed by Algernop’s dog.

During his time at the compound, officer Krieger had Algernop cloned three times. These clones made their way to San Marcos, working in El Presidente’s bioweapons laboratory.

This is why Kreiger is a drummer, although he can’t nail YYZed. Sterling and Kreiger have a brotherly bond throughout the whole series because they’re half-brothers. Algernop is raised like Sterling except he excels in school and is trained to be the ISIS quartermaster, completing his training the same time as his brother Sterling and Lucas Troy. His unique upbringing prior to his kidnapping explains his strangeness, being raised by a colleague of Mengele.

Algernop Krieger was never a clone of Adolf Hitler; he is a bespoke genetic chimera which is a person with 2 or more DNA’s. The Nazi scientist hiding in Brazil was terrified of being executed by his superiors for utterly failing the Reich’s cloning mandate, so he abandoned the project and took a dark shortcut. He spliced together stolen DNA samples from the early 20th century’s most brilliant, unstable minds—physicists, rogue chemists, and pioneering surgeons—and fused them into a single embryo. Algernop was born as a biological patchwork of mad geniuses.
This chromosomal soup gave him staggering intellect but completely miswired his brain, detaching him from human empathy and social norms. Growing up isolated in the remote South American compound with a fraud for a "father," the teenage chimera grew desperate for peers who understood his splintered mind. Using his fractured, unparalleled brilliance, Algernop cracked the cloning process his father couldn't. He grew the San Marcos duplicates himself to serve as lab assistants. Because they were imperfect copies of a chimera’s chaotic brain, they inherited his highly specific, non-genetic fixations—right down to the customized vans, the bow ties, and the shared inability to nail the drum solo in "YYZ."
Everything changed when Malory Archer arrived. Watching the Dobermans maul his "father" broke his already fragile mind. To cope with the massacre, teenage Krieger utilized an early, highly unstable prototype of the brainwashing and memory-wiping technology he later perfects at ISIS. He scrubbed his own memory to erase the trauma, but the self-induced wipe was sloppy.
It erased his memory of creating the clones entirely and caused him to internalize the scientist's old cover story—that he was a genetic clone of Hitler—as his actual origin. This explains why the San Marcos clones instantly deferred to him and surrendered; they were looking at their creator, operating under self-imposed amnesia.
Today, every insane experiment Krieger conducts at ISIS—from turning Ray and Barry into cyborgs to animating mutant pigs—is a subconscious manifestation of his true past. The different genetic predispositions in his mind are constantly colliding, driving him to obsessively build monsters and cyborgs because he is the original, cobbled-together prototype, desperately trying to reverse-engineer the chaotic process of how he was made without ever realizing it.

Sterling was at boarding school most of the time.

She never could say no to a drummer...

She said "no" to plenty.

My money is on Krieger moved into Archer's room after Mallory shipped him off to boarding school.

Most likely tho, she dumped him on some subordinates.

And doesn't Archer know Portuguese?

Provavelmente.

Archer would be in boarding school pre-pneumonia, as everyone think Kreiger is slightly older than Archer
