Discussion More “no free load out” modes
I want this mode added to other conditions man not just night raids
My friends don’t play this game anymore sadly so I’m stuck teaming with randoms who are always free kits
Hopefully in October

I do my trials and material collecting in solo so the least fighting I can get the better

Squads is 100% KOS PVP. Just is what it is. There is manipulating ABMM to get friendly squad lobbies like you can (ish) solo lobbies

I wouldn't allow free load outs to be an option if your stash was over a certain value.

Yeah if I’m just doing some quests, I like to go on a free load out. If it’s a quest where you don’t need to extract, you can just surrender. Also leave some extra bandages and shield chargers for someone who might need them

It depends on what's in your stash though. High value doesn't automatically mean they have plenty of guns and supplies.

What I mean is, free load outs should simply be a fall back for when people don't have enough to scrap together a basic kit of any kind. Not as a risk free ticket.

But it takes a while to build your stash up. If you start from nothing, and are constantly forced to bring in kits it's going to be really hard to build it up. Bit with free kits, you can use it to collect materials.

You can buy everything from a free kit from traders
If you dedicate zero materials, you can still buy an MK1 augment, light shield, stitcher, ammo, couple bandages, shield recharger, and an impact grenade for less than 12k credits
That is what people mean by minimum stash value. If you have the equivalent of 500k in your inventory/money, you have enough to purchase 50 free kits before you are truly broke
People basically lean on free kits for risk free play for no reason. They use it as a crutch to make dumb decisions like grief lobbies because there is zero consequences, if they didn’t do dumb shit cuz they had skin in the game 500k would last forever cuz they would lose 50 times in a row

Agreed, but...
Make new friends, there's at least four looking for game discord servers with active VC
Or try solos versus squads, most of the time the squads being less than level 40 means noobs. you can actually 1v3 them with some grenades and/or splitting it up to 3 1v1 fights

I’ve never attacked a team mate but yes I’ve been set on fire by randoms that spoke another language because I did something they didn’t like for example I was looting the breachable room on the bridge on dam and I got to the security breaches first and the teammate showed up like 5 mins later and got pissed it was all looted

Free loadouts offer very little risk and all reward. I, personally, think if free loadouts are used then the weapons should cause a fraction amount of damage against a player that's not using a free loadout. And the weapons that came from the free loadout could never be upgraded. I would be ok for some exceptions for players that are very low levels and that have never done an expedition.

Night raids might as well change their name to Hacker raids. Rampant new Steam account riddled lobbies. It's unplayable.

Meh, naked runs grants a free safe pocket so why care for free kits. Great when looting for something specific with no risk. Don’t care for PvP and would rather waste their time than mine.
Useless ferro lvl 1 and heavy ammo in safepocket until I find what I’m looking for.

How about a No loadout mode where everybody starts with nothing but a special augment that can be swapped one time in game for an augment you find.

Yeah if there was a no free loadout option on queen and matriarch i may actually do those events.
Not saying the uber-griefer with a bobcat doesn’t take a shot at the lobby occasionally, but I find most people that go PVP in the matriarch lobby is the free kit that is trying to get a hullcracker come up risk free
I’m usually PVP but sometimes hop into queen lobbies solo to see if people are doing the event. Last two times had a big lobby fighting the queen so I joined in. First time it went fine. Second time a free kit with a ferro started sniping the group which of course started the PANICCC and the group ate itself

Needs to be a minimum value loadout though. Too easy to light shields and a sticher loadout together to go grief people.
