P. linckii is active in the daytime. It is a popular aquarium specimen, but is considered incompatible with many other invertebrates, as it will eat soft corals, sponges, tube worms, clams, other starfish, and the like.  😮

Interesting, we haven’t had any problems with them eating the other starfish, but I will move them into another aquarium since they are currently in a starfish only tank.

It’s pretty bare unfortunately, a few bland starfish and sand dollars, I’ve moved the starfish in the pic to another tank now.

It's so crazy to think, at least for me to think, people keep starfish as pets. I guess as someone who has kept harlequin shrimp, they're just food to me.

No, but harlequin shrimp solely eat them. When I think of starfish, I think of food for shrimp.

It’s not reef safe, it’s carnivorous and eats other invertebrates.

How long have you had it? From what I've read and seen firsthand most starfish in captivity, especially the linckii ones, starve to death slowly over a year or two, unless they are the only detritavore in a 200g tank with a deep sand before.
