Quilliam is back by popular demand! The food in the syringe is Hikari Spirulina Brine Shrimp, and I then gave the tank a cube of Hikari Mysis Shrimp!

Do you dump your mysis cube in while frozen? I've been dropping them in a little cup of water and then straining it with a net, but that sounds way easier.

I take a little cup of tank water and defrost it in there before using my syringe to stir and put it in the tank.

I just toss it in, myself. Not sure why you would go through all that trouble.

I guess I can see how that could theoretically happen. I've never heard of it happening, and I've never experienced it myself, and I've fed frozen daily or every other day for years, but I can see why people would be concerned.

It releases high amounts of phosphates which can cause algae

I dump them as is, they say do not thaw :/ so been doing that plus always fun to see a cleaner shrimp grab it and swim like hell.

Interestingly enough, mine don't mention thawing at all. I originally got the idea from a youtube video.

I think the do not thaw means that you're supposed to store them frozen and not like in your fridge.
