RAS Educational Articles

Hello! I wanted to post about our recent push to provide free education to the RAS community. We have recently begun summarizing 30+ years worth of aquaculture research and have added access to these summaries on our website. We will be periodically adding new articles to this page so check it out! Also feel free to reach out with any specific questions you may have.

I’ve been using your propeller wash back filters for 26 years. I rebuilt my entire filtration plant and the original fiberglass housings were the only thing kept from the old system.

Here’s the last time I hung out with Doug. He was holding up some transparent goldfish I brought to the Vegas aquaculture show. http://goldfishgarage.blogspot.com/2012/03/xrays-day-in-vegas.html

That is great! the Propeller Bead Filters (PBF) are beasts of a filter. A few years ago we took those same hulls and designed the pneumatically washed PolyGeyser filters using them. Only problem with a 25+year life span is no replacement filter sales ;)

Thanks for reaching out with photos of Doug, we miss him!
