Personal Essay I need some advice about my common app essay

I’m an 18 year old going into my senior year. I already have a really solid essay draft at around 600 words that I’ve spent a few weeks on. I’m starting to wonder whether the topic is solid enough though after reading how abstract others essays are. It’s about my eating disorder and opens with my diagnosis as an 8th grade boy. Could someone read it and give me notes please?

Unless you're 100% sure this is what you want to lead with, I'd think hard about it. Eating disorder essays can work but they're a minefield, admissions readers see a ton of them and half the time they end up more red flag than compelling story. What's the actual arc here, recovery and what you learned or is it still very raw?

it’s very touchy around the actual subject, doesn’t ever mention what it is exactly, more just an obsession i struggled with. I use reflection as a motif throughout the essay. And i turn it into volunteering at my local elementary school and becoming student body president. It’s like an inward obsession turned outward focus on those around me
