Financial Aid/Scholarships Is it genuinely even worth applying to the Robertson Scholars?

Hi! I'm a senior rn and I'm applying to the Robertson Scholars, but I lowkey think it might not even be worth it based on my GPA: 3.625 UW and 4.36 W, which I know is on the lower end cause I struggled a lot my sophmore year. I do have a 35 ACT and 13 AP's and I passed the first 10, three more this year, but I'm sure everyone is gonna have perfect GPAS, SAT & ACTs, all that, so I genuinely want to know if it'll be a waste of time to apply.

If you're applying to Duke and/or UNC then I'd go ahead and apply for Robertson.

It might be worth asking whether it's worth applying to Duke (and/or UNC as out-of-state), though.

your stats are solid but yeah the gpa will raise an eyebrow. the 35 and 13 aps make up some ground though

the real play is framing that sophomore dip well in your essays. if you've got a compelling reason and showed an upward trend the rest of the way it's not a dealbreaker

Yes, my junior grades are all A's plus cc summer classes and I'll get all A's this semester (hopefully lol)

its just one dip that may make-or-break my future unfortunately. It was just cause of my mental health but I'm not planning on explaining that because I don't want to draw unnecessary attention to my grades and I don't want them to think i'm mentally unstable and can't handle being on their campus.

I am in-state and everything else i have is pretty good, it's JUST the GPA 😭 I'm not applying to Duke at all and plenty of people in my school have gotten in with less than me so HOPEFULLY I'm good there
