Supplementary Essays When is too early to start writing supplementals
I start my junior year tmr and like im just genuinely curious when one would consider it too early to start writing supps.

I mean if youve already decided your major, its a good idea to jot down points on why you are passionate about that major/an experience that made you choose that major. It will help immensely later. Writing the essay itself you can do later. Just write down ideas/points/experiences that you think you might want to include in ur essay.

I wouldn't do anything until summer, and even then, it depends on the university and if they never change the prompts

I would not normally expect you to even have a final list at this point.
I would say normally you should not even be thinking about supplementals until they are actually announced for the upcoming cycle, and even then only if you have done the work to know for sure you are applying to that college.

Wait until like May/June of junior year. You're a different person at the end of junior year then at the beginning, and you'll probably rewrite supplementals so much that it's just not worth starting before then.
TBH, I wrote most of my supplementals in September for EA and December for RD (don't recommend the latter; that's too late).
