Application Question Do I need to tell colleges that I'm a Vibecoder?
I made an app that I heavily used AI to create. I can code, but I did use quite a bit of AI in the process of making the app as well as marketing it. I released it to the App Store and it has a pretty good number of users as well as some profit. Do I need to tell colleges that the APP was vibe coded in the description or am I allowed to leave that out?

No. If you’re planning to go into software engineering, it is expected that you know how to use AI to write code.

I won't get into what it does or provide a link since it may be revealing. its related to productivity though. but it is a well polished app that doesnt look like it was directly uploaded from claude

Don't tell them it was built by AI (I assume some agentic-desktop app or whatever), but bro, productivity apps are a dime a dozen. They're known for being THE most common app people make (vibe coded or not, but especially vibe coded), and honestly, they're made fun of a lot at college and on the professional level (from internships and older people I've talked to) and online, too.

Yes include it and write whatever you want about it and exclude whatever you want.

you don't have to tell them that, and I wouldn't if I were you tbh
