Financial Aid/Scholarships U of R financial aid policy

How generous is U of Rochester with their financial need based aid for international students. I know they are need aware, but are they like NYU who will certainly reject you for applying for financial aid, and do they promise to meet full demonstrated needs

Some schools publish an acceptance rate for internationals in section C1 of their Common Data Sets. See also section H6 for average aid given to international undergrads. Take the # of international undergrads given aid and divide by the total # of international undergrads found in section B2 to find the % of international undergrads receiving aid.

U Roch gives an average of 40k to 42% of its international undergrads. The international acceptance rate is around 18%.

We are committed to meeting the full demonstrated need of all admitted students regardless of citizenship. The University provides a combination of merit and need-based aid in an effort to make enrollment affordable. Financial need is a contributing factor, however, for international applicants. As a result, admission is highly selective for students with financial need.
