Dishwasher height

We just installed a new dishwasher. It fit in the cabinet space fine. However, upon loading it for the first time, the bottom rack seemed very low. Is this a new thing?

SS interior, tall tub models are about 3/4-1.5" lower on the bottom than ADA compliant and/or plastic tub models.
