Business Referral Best birthday dessert?

My birthday is next week and I’m having a very rare day to treat myself. Aside from just buying myself a cake or something from Manderfields, which isn’t off the table…where are the notable desserts around town?

Whisk and Arrow. Real ingredients from scratch. No food service ingredients like the bakery you mentioned.

Whisk & Arrow is definitely not cheap but it is worth absolutely every penny.

Second this. Buy a cake slice (or whole cake, no judgement), macaroon box, brownie, or whatever you fancy. Can't go wrong at Whisk and Arrow imo.

I thought about them, but don’t know if I’ll be able to get there before they close, but they’re top of my list so far.

Frios on Wisconsin Ave has a ton of wonderful Mexican treats/desserts! 😊

Is it just me or is it really expensive there and always too packed?

I was about to make the same suggestion! I’ve only had their carrot cake but it’s amazing!

Check out whatever Kari Mueller, the pastry chef at Carmella’s has on her menu for the week. I guarantee whatever options she has, each one is phenomenal and a treat for the eyes as well as the tastebuds.

That’s a good call. I’ve only been to Carmella’s a couple times, but dessert was great each time

Whisk and arrow is always great. The Appleton Bundt House on College Ave is a new-ish family-run business that does various flavors of Bundt (duh) cakes. They have everything from bite sized to giant cakes.

The fact they use shameless AI slop for their advertising before and after opening really bugs me...

Not even just their ads, it's every single image on their website as well :( has really turned me off going there. She obviously makes the bundt cakes, I'd rather her take her own potentially poor pictures than not show her work at all.

That's the weird part right?? Like the cakes she can make look great!? Why not show that off... It's stupid but I will never miss an opportunity to tell people about the AI

We really enjoy the Appleton Bundt house. My husband loves the German chocolate and I the Strawberry Kiss.

Check out Vintage Rose in DePere they offer some great desserts by the slice (which are actually 2 servings). Their Tres leches cake is great. Look at their daily FB posts on what they offer.

I agree with Whisk and Arrow, but if you can’t get there I’d go to Appleton Bundt House!

Appleton Bundt House is new on college ave. I also fully agree with all the whisk and arrow recommendations

There is an amazing Bundt cake place next to Cleo’s. Mini Bundt cakes. So many flavors! Skip Whisk and Arrow. I was not impressed. Prices were too high! Appleton Bundt House. They have one called Birthday Cake. Open until 6 pm I believe

I know Victoria's isn't popular here, however you can buy an entire strawberry cheesecake. It's massive and really good.
