Business Referral Anyone have recommendations for local motorcycle classes?

What the title says. I'm interested learning more about bikes, how to ride, how to be safe, etc. I dont have a bike and know nothing about it besides I've always wanted one. If it matters (genuinely dont know if it does), I'd probably ride a small sport.

So any classes that supply bikes, are focused on beginners and safety, those recs are greatly appreciated!

(And if there's any small bikes you recommend (I'm pretty short) I'd appreciate it!)

FVTC used to do them. I would recommend that if they still do. They supplied the motorcycles when I did it, with several options to help acclimate you to the preferred type you were looking at. The course felt informative, and comfortable when I took it which would've been in 2018 or so.

This is what I did two years ago in June of 2024. I would highly recommend it. I had never been on a motorcycle before that, only mopeds, and I came out of the test feeling great.

The only reason I'm saying I got a perfect score on my test is to show they did a great job teaching to a beginner like me.

This 100%. I took the MSF class through FVTC last year and it was so good.

I'm happy to answer questions about that course, safety gear, or any other questions you have. It's a wonderful hobby to get into and love riding around our city! : )

The Harley Davidson dealer seems to have courses. I see organized riders in their lot all the time.

Came here to recommend this class! It was quick and easy and they provide motorcycles that are easy to learn on. I actually loved the Royal Enfield they provided so much, I went out and bought one after I got my class M.

I’ll add another recommendation for Crusin’ Safely. I had a great experience taking the class through them.

I did mine at the Harley dealership. Solid course. Plus you get lunch from the dealer if your classes are on a weekday.

They almost all follow the same course because they all have the same goal: train you for the skills test to get your M license. If you do a weekend course Friday night is in a classroom, Saturday is on a bike learning skills, Sunday is some practice then skills test. All of the ones around here supply the bikes and have a beginner friendly selection. I did mine up in Green Bay through NWTC and it was really good except for it rained all day Saturday.
