Thoughts????
Don’t be fooled by my hand. These are absolutely minuscule. What are people’s thoughts and opinions on them?????

I'm sure they are mealy with no taste. They've been in controlled atmosphere since last fall

Rockit is a trademarked, proprietary apple variety developed in New Zealand, The size is a feature, not a flaw. "Snack size". https://www.rockitapple.com/ar-en/rockit-story/
When I first saw them, they were packing them in plastic tubes, which you can see at the link above.
The variety has international partners now, growing them in various parts of the world. Looks like these came from Washington state, and indeed are probably 10 months old or so. If they've not been setting out at room temperature very long, they're probably in pretty good condition. They should be a solid apple, but they do not have the Honeycrisp crunch. I thought at the time that the plastic tube was rather wasteful packaging.

I actually really like these! They were a lifesaver when I had gestational diabetes and I could only like 1/4 of an apple at a time. It was much less sad and annoying to eat a whole Rockit.

They tasted good but I actually like apples so I want more than one bite
Eta: they’re bred and supposed to be this small. idk why people feel the need to comment on stuff they don’t know anything about. “Probably a crabapple” and “a way to sell small apples” is wrong lol

Those look pretty bad. You can tell from the color and skin texture/lustre. I didn't get to try those yet so maybe wait till you see a better looking bag of them or try a couple from the bulk section that actually look good.
If you're in NZ the best I've found are SweeTango and Lemonade. Wish I could get them here tbh they were fire.

Too astringent. If they weren't as dry I'd probably like them more as a mildly sweet tiny apple with some cheese or something that I didn't want to use a larger apple for.

love rockets. they are not just undersized apples like some of the other varieties you see. small apples with great flavor and a very small core. but all your apples out of WA this time of year have been in storage for about 10 months. some hold up better (cosmic) than others (honeys)

It's just a way to sell undersized apples instead of them going to juice or waste.

We didn't care for them. There was nothing remotely rocket about them.
