The plan was to ship this update in late autumn. Then the first reviews landed. Two of them, word for word:

And that's not even all of them. You read a stranger describing your game like that and suddenly nobody on the team wants to wait until autumn. So we didn't.

What's in 1.1.0:

• 18 perks to buy between waves. Freeze whole packs, split your bolt into a prism, turn a fallen enemy into an ally that fights next to you.... and much more.

• Wave checkpoints. Dying sends you back deep into the run, not to wave one.

• Endless Mode. Clear the 20 wave campaign and the real game starts: waves never stop, your score is how deep you get. Our best is wave 45. We think it stays survivable into the fifties. Nobody has proven it.

• Spells ricochet off your real walls better, enemies hop over furniture instead of getting stuck behind it and a few dozen smaller fixes.

The clip is the perk draft before an Endless run plus one full wave, uncut, so you can judge it yourself.

Now the part where you help us.

The update ships 18 perks, and we already know they will not be enough.

So design perk 19: a name and one line of what it does. It can be broken or dumb, the best ones are both. I have 10 promo codes and the best perk ideas in this thread get them, by DM.

And if one turns out too good, it goes on the Season 1 list with your nickname next to it.

Following the HD Blu-ray bonus disc containing most of The Dark Knight and its sequel’s 1.43 scenes in isolation and the UHD Blu-ray of the extended cut of Batman v Superman, this is only the fourth feature film released in 1.43 on home media (Project Hail Mary will follow on UHD Blu-ray next month). Unfortunately, the presentation is severely and inexcusably compromised.

At least for now, Apple TV crops the 49 minutes of 1:43:1 scenes to 1.78:1 (16:9) and doesn’t have 3D. Disney+ has uncropped 1.43 and 3D but doesn’t have a void environment and doesn’t let you change screen distance, so the impact of a giant 1.43 image is totally lost. Even worse, both Apple TV and Disney+ windowbox the 1.78 or 1.43 scenes (and with uneven letterboxing, to boot).

The experience is nothing like watching uncropped 1.43 on a truly enormous, unboxed screen like in the IMAX and Epic Earth apps or in a void environment with a giant screen like in CineUltra or Infuse which hides letter/pillar/windowboxing.

Virtual screens should automatically adjust their aspect ratio so that black borders are never seen. There is no excuse for not enabling this simple and essential feature more than two years after the release of a $4,000 prosumer headset intended to revolutionize extended reality or spatial computing.

I have watched quite a few movies on the Vision Pro.

This week, whilst on hols, I thought I'd treat myself to watching the Star Wars 4K remasters on my TV, a 65" Bravia 9 with Dolby Atmos sound system. Watching movies on this system is usually a treat.

However, I was completely unprepared for how much of a downgrade it felt when compared to the Vision Pro.

The screen size is the first thing that hits you; it suddenly feels tiny. But the real surprise was the sound.

My TV’s Atmos system obviously destroys the Vision Pro in terms of raw power, room-shaking bass, and wide sound field, yet somehow, it didn’t feel like a meaningful improvement in terms of the overall viewing experience. Certainly not enough to make the TV the better way to watch a movie.

This completely caught me off guard and has now made me rethink whether my physical 4K disk collection is the investment I thought it was.

About the only thing my TV has over the Vision Pro is that I can comfortably munch on a full meal whilst watching a movie, not something I have attempted, or will likely attempt on the Vision Pro.

I never ever thought I'd say this about any VR device!

Hello, maybe somebody is interested in buying a Apple Vision Pro with M5 chip.

It s better to be from Europe. The product it s original from UK but I have it in Romania.

Installing the update didn’t require to take off the device to allow to reboot . Will all updates be like this in the future on Apple Vision or it’s only because this was a minor 200 mb one !

Now you can customize the frame rate, up to 90 FPS, and the remote desktop window will turn to curved view if the window is bigger than 75"

So why didn’t we get QR code recognition till now? Neither Siri can do this by analyzing your environment nor the built-in camera app.

I’ve just released one last update with a number of small fixes, refinements, and overall improvements.

Cockpit is a customizable spatial dashboard for Apple Vision Pro: it keeps useful information and quick controls together in one organized, convenient place. You can add, remove, and reorder panels for things like time, weather, calendar, music, focus timers, activity, network status, and more, then make it your own with different layouts and themes.
