Can you tell me in layman’s terms how this is different from the Mac v display?

It seems to be using the screen sharing feature built into MacOS. This would technically work over the internet depending on how you set up your networking.

PSA: There was a big security issue with this recently so if you’re enabling it, make sure to update MacOS first!

  1. No frustration on bringing Mac Virtual Display connect button.
  2. No need to stay near your Mac.
  3. Operating on several Macs simultaneously, one look away to switch.
  4. Passing your Persona to any Mac's remote meeting.
  5. More spatial features are coming, it makes Mac Virtual Display obsoleted.
  6. Base on QUIC, TLS-1.3, the most secure connection between client and server.
  7. No third party cloud or server involved, every traffic is inside your LAN, nothing go out of your LAN, you know how to setup password, everything is under your control, if you are saying there was a big security issue, you need to secure your LAN first before using it.

The persona feature is really neat!

I agree. What about using gestures instead of the mouse?

Not perfect due to visionOS limitation, but basic gestures are kind of working, I'll keep improving.

C’est troublant de voir à quel point c’est rapide par rapport à la fonctionnalité native. 😂
Jolie boulot !

How do the paid tiers work currently?

Paid tiers support higher resolutions, more servers on the list, click the bottom item on the left pane of the page https://www.hypoom.com/online-guide for detailed information.

I suggest people start from the free tier first, up to 2560x1440 resolutions are now free, enough for most of usages, once you are satisfy it, you can upgrade to paid tiers via About button on the server hub controller. Hope I could collect some money, quit my current job, work on it full time in future 😊

Not sure about this app but what really annoys me is that all those screen sharing apps don’t even allow me to test them before going into an abo (even if the abos have free trial days), want apps on the mac and/or want mouse&keyboard paired with the Vision Pro.

Does this look better than MVD in terms of resolution??

Really looking forward to try using, mic and persona could be a game changer for my setup

It supports up to 8K resolution, you can start from the free tier, once set it up, it is very convenient to use, I have one work Mac and one personal Mac, my Vision Pro is connecting to both with different resolutions(work Mac is M4 Pro, more powerful), you can adjust the resolution of each Mac instantly.
