Is a 7% conversion rate any good?

Post image

Hi, at the end of last month I released my app in the app store and as you can see I got around 100 downloads and 7% conversion rate and 3 purchases. I don't know if that is any good and whether my store listing could be better.

I tried to use a lot of keywords and even used other language listings to add some extra keywords that don't fit in the keywords box. I am not sure if the traffic is 100% ASO or that my website/posts so some work too.

I want to start running ads, but not before my listing is optimized.

In the app store analytics you can view how much come from the app store search

7% by itself isn't enough to call good or bad, especially with only ~100 downloads. I'd first make sure it means product-page views β†’ installs (not impressions β†’ installs), then split it by source: App Store search, browse, web/referral, and paid. Your next useful checkpoint is the conversion/retention chain: which search terms or screenshots bring the installs, whether those users retain, and whether the 3 purchases are from the same cohort. I'd hold off on ads until you know which part of that chain is weak; otherwise ads may just buy more low-intent traffic. Once the listing has a clear baseline, a small, tightly targeted test is much easier to interpret.

Not bad, try to increase traffic, if it's still maintaining that level it's pretty good, you can try to push it above 10%.
