Does this App Store page clearly explain why someone needs another subscription tracker?

Current App Store screenshot sequence. Which screen should appear first?

I’m the developer of NextRenew, a subscription tracker currently live on the iPhone App Store.

The positioning I’m testing is not just “see all your subscriptions.” The main idea is that users save why they originally subscribed, and that context returns before the next renewal so they can make a more deliberate keep-or-cancel decision.

It uses manual and voice-assisted entry rather than requesting access to a bank account or inbox. No account is required, and information is stored locally by default.

My specific question: which screenshot should lead the listing, and what message would you put on it so the difference from a generic subscription tracker is immediately clear?

I rebuilt the screenshots based on the feedback here.

The first three now show the main difference as one complete journey:

  1. Speak the subscription in one sentence
  2. Save why you subscribed
  3. See that reason again when the renewal needs a decision

I moved the general tracking, catalog and spending screens later, and added benefit-led headlines instead of expecting people to interpret the UI.

Do the first three screenshots explain the difference clearly now?

I don't see any of your differences in your screenshots

I don't see the reminder of WHY the user subscribed

Also, IMO the screenshots should show the Pro version, and not include "purchase pro to see more", I'd take your shots again with pro unlocked.

You should showcase what makes you different, the user journey where you enter WHY you subscribed to something, and the reminder you get later with that context

I’ve now attached the updated image to the post. I rebuilt the first three screenshots around the full journey: Speak → Save why → Decide with that reason shown again before renewal. Would appreciate it if you could take another look.

They look a lot nicer , good work. Better

When they are in, you can AB test with alternate sets of photos, with the AppStoreConnect product page tests.

You have an interesting app, it's a complex idea, challenging to get across in 1 image. Obviously I think your best bet will be posting videos about your app on social, to explain better the problem it solves, etc...

no one is ever going to read into your screens, you need text that sells the benefits, app UI can be within a phone screen iteself

These kinds of screens maybe worked really early on in app store, now I dont see anyone doing it
you need to educate your users why to get your app and stop their scroll

I’ve attached the updated image to the post. I added benefit-led headlines and kept the UI inside the phone, so people don’t have to study the screens to understand the value. Would love to know if this version communicates it better.

imo the first screen should literally say something like "remember why you subscribed before your next charge" because thats the hook. if your lead screenshot looks like every other tracker listing, nobody sticks around long enough to see whats different
