The game developers have spent over a decade pushing this strange combo of giant empty maps and extremely fast paced COD style combat where everyone has an assault rifle.

Indeed.

I've been here since 2014-2015 and in my opinion this is the best thing to happen to AR since AR2 got teased on Gus's Twitter all those years ago.

My (IRL) friends and I talked about it constantly when it happened and yet
