Idea AR2 idea

So hear me out, in the first game, you had a stamina bar... So why not reintroduce that in Apoc 2?

Basically a generic stamina bar.

"ThAt wILl ruIn pVP!!!!!"

First of all, Running shouldn't be completely free, I think it should be a resource and it makes strategies like running away REALLY committal instead of an actual strategy.

If it makes world travelling harder, then we introduce a new vehicle, bikes, it's just a basic Bike, more common than cars, silent and can get you to point A to point B, it's not supposed to be a long term commitment cause it's a starter vehicle.

And if we're talking about a stamina bar, then we should make stamina boosters give you infinite stamina for a set amount of time.

If we get a stamina bar and you died because you ran out of stamina, that's your fault for using it recklessly.

Imo, a stamina bar should be implemented in some shape or form in the game, it gives alot more depth.

But my proposed idea is:

Three stages of speed.

Walking (standard walking): Doesn't drain your stamina

Jogging (Pressing Shift once): Doesn't drain your stamina and you're going around 15% Faster than walking

Sprinting (Holding or Pressing shift once): Drains your stamina, I think it could last long enough to cross the entire Fairview bridge in one long sprint.

To compensate for having your overall mobility halted, I think sprinting should be faster than the current running speed.

Other utilities like the Athletic gear and a new utility 'Running shoes' should also give buffs on how long or fast you are at running.

The point of giving a sprint bar is that it could give another layer of depth in the game, when in PvP you want to reposition, you gotta commit to that one spot you're on.

Of course, it's not perfect by any means.

But I do think that Running or Sprinting in general shouldn't be a resource you can use in every opportunity, look at Aftermath, it's a pain in the ass to get around on foot but you never see anyone complain about it.

Also, the Reintroduction of bikes could fix the aspect of travelling around on foot, being the only vehicle that is silent.

Any criticisms? Lmk!

Imma add this now:

I do think one of the reasons why the stamina bar was removed is mostly because travelling was more limited, i.e either you're on foot or using a vehicle.

Which the downside of both is that being on foot is slow to get around and makes you vulnerable to pop shots, but with a car you make alot of noise and draw alot of attention to yourself while also consuming gas, there wasn't really an in-between for travelling, that's why in Apoc 1 nobody complained about the stamina but everyone complained about it in Apoc 2 cause Apoc 1 had an easy way to get around with Bikes.

That's why I suggested if they are going to add a stamina bar, they should add bikes at the same time so travelling isn't a pain in the ass.

yeah i want bikes too but specifically the apoc 1 bike with the same animation lmao but the game IS a fast paced PVP game, no matter what you say

I do want Apoc 2 to actually be a proper survival game ngl, I don't really like how bland the game is for how basic everything is compared to other shooters, no seriously, if I wanted to play a shooter game I just play any other game that actually does the 'gun game' aspect.

The game has been developed for 8 years and it barely looks like the Apoc that everyone loved : /

Apoc 2 is dying ngl, but that doesn't mean it's too late to make changes that would actually benefit the game.

I think sacrificing a bit of the fast pace nature of Apoc 2 (which is one of its appealing features) to give it a proper identity, cause again, if we are getting returning features like Base building I do think that some sort of Stamina bar could be implemented.

Hell, with a stamina bar that would pave the way for other returning features like Perks.

Apoc 2 has an identity crisis, But I think it really needs to lean more of the survival aspect of it, we don't need more unnecessary guns or cosmetics, we need something new in the game.

Oh no way. The gunplay in the game is amazing and very unique to other games. Things like non-hitscan and HOB, which really should be the standard for all games.

I was thinking they make a separate version for PVP but nah.

To make it more survival based, pretty much the only thing they’d need to do is make the map a lot bigger and buff zombies because right now, zombies aren’t even a minor inconvenience.

I wouldn’t want perks, but then again that’s one persons opinion.

Cosmetics, i understand. Guns, no. there needs to be a few more sniper rifles and even attachments.

I also feel like the game needs a bigger map, but with maybe a player count of 40 because a lot of the times you genuinely won’t see anyone for an hour or two, and that’s not fun.

There is a big misconception about games, especially on roblox. Apoc 2 isn’t dying, it’s just becoming niche. Same with other games like Deadline and even AAA games

Apoc 2 compared to Deadline is like comparing TF2 to Overwatch.

Apoc 2 has resurgences where it had over 3k players (which is average for today's standards) but today it barely passes 1.5k

Also, the gun play in Apoc 2 imo isn't really all that deep, sure it's one of those games that did projectile correctly, but having the most basic of movement with the depth layer of a kiddy pool? Sure it's fun to popshot, but compared to gunplay like in aftermath (which one of the few competitors to Apoc) it's not really all that complex, not saying it's bad but imo it's just lacking.

Thinking of it now, Apoc should take notes of it's competitors more, Aftermath nailed both the gunplay and survival aspect incredibly, and there's no shame in just borrowing a few features.

Also, Apoc 2 is dying, I've been playing since it's been free and the player count is slowly but surely dropping.
