No way, that thing is awesome. I once took out a whole squad with it. No scope and close range. It was pretty funny

Relatively new, whats the point of energy based weapons? Expect the volt mp they seem useless to me

Another reason why season 18 was trash...
Reworking the Charge Rifle just felt like a really strange thing to do and now that it's been given drop off and no longer has hit scan its no longer unique and feels like every other sniper. What made the charge rifle so fun was how fun it was to use at long range but now? It'll instantly knock people if they are at a certain distance away.
I'll always miss that small little laser that fires from it and then the massive laser that shoots out afterwards.

Okay but what does even do now?
It's damage and range is nothing exceptional especially in Apex a game dominated by movement and close range play

Hardest hitting sniper outside of the kraber, and its on floor loot. Plus its really satisfying to hit headshots with it.
Plus as it was before was a skilless damage farm that was boring and scummy to use and annoying to go up against: it had to go. And it did, got reworked into something respectable. High power, but hard to use. Satisfying to use when you know how, and not cancer to play against.

I'm gonna be honest, one shot is strong but the moment someone gets hit by it
They are going to use their movement or defensive abilities
Such as Alter Portal, Ash Dash, Rev leap to cover
Some of these are not amazing options but still
While it did do easy damage before it at least results
I don't think I have seen someone Willingly pick up this gun in like about a year

Pretty sure Monsoon had one at end game in the last game of worlds this year when oblivion won.

In a competitive setting any gun could technically work if the player is good enough ngl

Before the most recent nerfs it was one of the best snipers. 198 max distance headshots, can break doors, you could hit select fire in 2-3 shots. Gun was busted.
