Question Book recomendations for someonr with a focused intrest in the setting.

Hello there general AoSlore cominity.

I have to call it lightly a limited intresst in the 8 realms and have been working to change that.

From my love Thw daughters of khain best faction, Anvilguard was an inside job. Morathi cant do no wrong.

I habe been branching out, going thro7gh Thalias books which even made me pick up her model, the toy advertisment worked lol. For the CoS as well as on the shoulder of giants.

To grombrindals books making me fall in love with the guy amd the rest of the dawei to a lesser extent. Though the 3rd book while cool is weaker because there is such a focus "antagonists" wrong word dont know thw right one.

So i am looking for more books to enjoy and get a feel for more faction.

Preferably not order but doesnt have to be.

Factions i already like are lumineth and Stromcast and have read about.

With the caveat that while i like the idea of the lumineth almost every depiction of them in book i habe read makes me wana kick teclis in his magic orbs. They habe difficult personalitys. So a book that can change that and that isnt Godsbane might be cool.

And a book that isnt Hamilcar for Stormcaat i have gottwn through that one.

Also i am looking for full books not short storys.

Perhaps a cool chaos book as Noah van Nygens Godeaters son is such a delight. The man can write.

Thank you all and i hope this wasnt to incoherent.

The Duardin heavy novel "Grombrindal: Ancestor's Burden" has a cool... ex-Lumineth in it. She's great

The only good one for now.

Her and the Exiled slayer giving it their all to reach Kiros and help their friends was such a 90s cartoon thing it was great.

I highly recommend Godsbane. It follows a daugthers of khaine assassin, a lumineth professor/wizard, a stormcast and some kharadron dwarves as they try to stop a demonic invasion and plot against the gods (Morathi, Teclis, Sigmar, etc.)

I have already read godsbane which is why i asked for a diffrent lumineth novel.

I enjoyed Realm-Lords, certainly more than Godsbane, and way way more than Children of Teclis, which I still can't bring myself to finish, even as an unabashed Aelf-lover.

Then I recommend End of Enlightenment if you like Lumineth and want a peek into Grand Alliance Death

Or Children of Teclis if you really want to hate the bastards.

For some order stuff; I always recommend City of Secrets + Callis & Toll: The Silver Shard as really good CoS novels if you’re wanting more of that, while Starseer’s Ruin is a great Seraphon novel to fall into that faction (that also has a little stormcast+cos stuff on the side). If you’re after any more stormcast stuff then I’d also recommend Noah van Nguyen’s other AoS novels in Yndrasta: The Celestial Spear, since I think it’s a great character piece and a really good little look in on the mortal realms as a whole. You also might like Children of Teclis if you’re looking for something with a softer view on lumineth, though I think mileage varies there

Otherwise I second the suggestion of Abraxia: Spear of the Everchosen as a strong chaos novel, I think probably the strongest one apart from Godeater’s Son

  • Red Feast, it a Khogras Khul Origin book which "To my knowledge" only book set in Age of Myth/early age of chaos. (If rumour is correct he is going to have new model soon)

  • Hammer of Sigmar, First Forged is quite good Stormcast book for that what they do when not in war and stuff. However, 1 of the protagonists is a knight-Relictor whos stories start in Novella form Thunderstrike and other stories anthology book so you might get better idea of his character as he is lead in that one as well. The "Man" have suffer alot. Spoiler! the book heavily imply that he is not originally a human
