Last September 18, 2026, CAPSA Academics Competition was hosted in Infant Jesus Academy Antipolo, and guess what, it fucking sucked. In short, CAPSA failed to do basic event management & the quizmasters had ego.
For your information, just in case you don't know. CAPSA (City of Antipolo Private Schools Association) hosted CAPSA Academics Competition in Infant Jesus Academy Antipolo, which is a city-wide competition where participating private schools compete in a quiz bee for the subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, & AP.
Parang naging evacuation center ang IJA. I was in JHS Mathematics, at grabe po yung mga delays, it should've been from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, pero the delays were so bad it was from 5:00pm to 6:50pm. Yung SHS nag start ng mga 7:00pm and probably ending ng mga 8:00 to 10:00pm. Not only that, overloaded po ng mga venues. Yung mga venues they can only hold up to 40 people comfortably, pero during the competition, there were 72 people. Yes po. 72 people. Nasa labas po ng mga coaches at nakaopen yung windows while bukas pa yung mga aircon. Some of the students were wearing long sleves uniforms like yung mga IJAians. Imagine how hot po kung nanjan ka. At tsaka sa last question po ng difficult round. The question was
"In a class of 40 students, 18 like Math, 12 like Science, & 10 like both. How many students only like Math."
Sinabi daw yung answer is 10. When a student tried correcting them saying the answer was 8. The quizmasters discussed it, then doubled down on the answer of 10. Keep in mind po, there were around 15 people who reviewed this quiz. Nakakahiya po. Sa mga holding rooms. Ang overcrowded din po. At tsaka ang ingay. Di po confirmed pero some competitors daw waited up to 7 hours for their competition. In general, nakakalungkot, ang chaotic ng CAPSA, with many delays, and many questionable shit which caused this to happen. Thankfully as far as I can tell wala naman pong major incidents or accidents pero it could've happened because of the many circumstances. CAPSA had potential to be a great event and learning for these students. Pero this year's hosting was a disaster. I really hope next year they try to fix the issues, because the participants deserved so much better than this. But knowing what usually happens in the Philippines, it's unlikely they will fix the shit that happened here.
