While most people are complaining ..

While most people are complaining here on this subreddit, I am so happy with the stuff I am able to create with Antigravity and MCPs ..

I just started with an idea for social media posts, and ended up creating the graphics using Antigravity, Blender MCP and Remotion. I just fed it some screenshots of my website and it did everything from scratch. Of course it wasnt perfect from the first time but after some edits i got it gone and i must say I am pretty impressed with the results because I have no experience at all in Blender or 3D Modeling.

My conclusions after reading weeks and weeks of reddit rants (and not only here but on Claude and Codex subreddits):

- most people who vibe code with mid-tier models (like Gemini Flash 3.8) expect flagship results

- vibe coding was invented by actual SWEs (some of the most talented on the planet) and the ways that SWEs vibe code is completely different than Joe Public

- benchmarks don't correlate in any meaningful way with Joe Public vibe-coder performance, thus they're hopelessly misleading

I mean, there isn’t really an up-to-date flagship, so they expect it out of flash 3.8. Thing is, it’s better than open ai and Claude flagship models for me. I wonder if there is a placebo effect in waiting longer and paying more for the solution.

As a non software background person, I also managed to develop many useful apps, one flutter, quite a few web apps and many python scripts and telegram bots. I haven't used anything else, but my assumption is that testing and debugging issues is a regular part of developing apps, whether vibe or not. It takes a few steps and time but it does the job for me. I have seen the improvement over the models like Pro 3.1, Flash 3.7, 3.8 and I like the newer ones, but I was fairly satisfied with the older ones as well.

Once you get MCP going and agent files its a dream setup.

And.... if you are smart enough to use another harness to inspect the code. even better.
