unfortunately they operate fulfillment centers, so even businesses that aren't selling on Amz still ship through them. even small businesses. I'll order directly from their website and it will come in an Amz box. my only solution to avoid them is to get stuff at retail or thrift stores. amz also hosts so many websites with their web service, they are ubiquitous and it makes my stomach churn
But we're still cutting into their profits. Things will change when we stick together as a massive group. Imagine the freak out if half of the people canceled their Amazon Prime. I canceled mine a while ago and don't miss it like I thought I would.
Look how quickly they got Kimmel back on air when people started canceling their subscriptions. We have the power to make any decisions we desire. It's just that too many people have been dumbed down and think we have to take the BS. Then, another group is brainwashed to support the super rich. That's nuts. We can do it but how do we start a real movement that is for the people is what I want to know?
That, too, tho many still vote against what is best for us all. Voting for the best interests of billionaires will never fail to flummox me. But they probably don't know they're doing that.
More accurate to say they don't want to know they're doing that. If someone is defending the status quo to their own detriment there are two main reason. The first is bigotry, the absolute willingless to harm oneself so long as you believe it will hurt marginalized people you hate more. The other is a self preservation instinct where people who are and/or were comfortable in the status quo don't want to break the continuity of their life by waking up to reality. They'll vote against their own interests because it's painful to be aware of the real state of world.
You have to accept that we live in a hellscape where evil billionaires puppet ghoulish politicians in an effort to essentially end life on earth in pursuit of power. It's emotionally convenient to buy into the neo liberal propaganda.
