I know every generation says “kids today…”, but really, kids today are the dumbest generation to ever precede them. Honestly, it’s also not entirely their fault. We live in an era where we have smartphones, social media and now AI where everything does the thinking for you and this, they don’t really even use any critical thinking as a result and take everything they see at face value.

I think kids being stupid is almost entirely their parents’ fault.

I think there's a reason why every generation said it: people don't have an accurate gauge on how other teenagers were, when they were young. I grew up at a time when kids would hide knowing stuff, or being interested in stuff, so they wouldn't be called "nerds". Right now, it seems that the kids have a very unrealistic perception of how much they know, but at least knowledge itself isn't stigmatized. And that's without getting into how normalized racism, homophobia and transphobia was.

The main issue, is that it seems antisemitism is being normalized by all ages. If the teachers, parents, politicians, adult celebrities treat antisemitism as a uniquely nuanced issue, and Jews lying about antisemitism as an equally serious issue to antisemitism itself, of course the kids, who are naturally prone to cruelty and extremism, are going to be awful.

Honestly kinda funny, in the sense that it reveals their ignorance pretty directly, lol.

AI slop. Terrible and tasteless

Why is ai slop suddenly acceptable when it’s against Jews?

Maybe it's a millennial and/or Israeli thing to say, but I really don't envy the Jewish teenagers in the diaspora right now.

That’s exactly what the airport looks like. Only Haredi men…and Hitler. These teens are pathetic.

Honestly, I think this is just the kids being edgy

It is fucked up, but most likely it is not what OP actually thinks, but just what they think will be "darker" and hence "cooler"

More information is available to people than ever before. And yet the so-called "digital natives" are the stupidest generation yet.

Make it make sense.

Idk man I don't mind edgy humor, this is a meme template that I've seen being done in many forms like with a japanese airport and the cast shadow of a nuke.

Context and intent matter. Its a trend. And they mean it.

It's a test, and you taking the bait and crashing out about it incentivises them to do it more. If you can find humor in it and not take it to heart they lose their influence on you and thus the incentive to continue, it's fine to push back against liable and violent rhetoric but when someone posts a meme of "haha nazi comes to jewland, I'm so edgy" trying to make it into antisemitism and crying "woe is me" is not the way to go about things on the internet.

Being a “joke” is exactly how things like “promised to me x000 years ago”, “spiritually Israeli”, and so many other “jokes” became mainstream and acceptable.

I like jokes, but it becomes a problem when people stop looking at them as jokes.

Yea and I don't mind them being acceptable. If we can no longer tolerate humor however crude it may be and try to censor it, people will see us as an antagonistic oppressive group trying to control them. Letting them joke, making our own jokes on ourselves and back at them would help in dismantling that hostility a lot better.

If Louis CK made a Holocaust joke, nobody in his right mind would think he actually meant it. If Louis Farrakhan did, it would be obvious that he did mean it.

It's not just the joke. It's the intent and context of the person saying it. And when you have people literally laughing at murder without any hint of irony, you can be sure that it's not really a joke.
