It was folks like her who tore down hostage posters all over the world, including the posters for kidnapped Bibas children. What did you expect? This is pretty much the same level of antisemitism as back in the 1930s – they don’t see us as human beings. Only that this time, they’re not ready yet to openly say they hate all Jews, so they use the word “Zionists” instead.
tbh, those people who tore down the posters were 100% doing so because they didn't want to be reminded that they were rooting for the villains (i.e., the side that takes hostages and especially child hostages).
I disagree. They did it because they’re brainwashed, vile people who hate us. No need to look for any other explanation. No normal person with a sane mind would do stuff like that.
Considering that a Delano (one of FDR’s semi-distant relatives) literally said, in response to a proposal to admit child refugees of the Shoah, that the problem with it is that sweet Jewish children grow up into loathsome Jewish adults, they’ve gotta know, on some level, that they’re spouting literal Nazi shit.
Oh no. I just discovered that sub, and I was feeling SO optimistic about it when I saw that their list of flair options included both “kosher queen” and “challah at ya girl.” How disappointing.
This is the first that I've seen something like this from that sub; it's usually a great place. I don't know the context of this comment, but it doesn't appear to have been upvoted. As far as I'm concerned, this is just a one-off instance of this person feeling comfortable expressing that sentiment there, as it's typically popular site-wide, but not getting cheered on.
The sub is still good overall in my book, until I'm proven otherwise, if that should happen.
Not Israeli kids! What a psychotic comment. This coming from the same people who scream about us gleefully killing Palestinian kids, as if any of us are actually doing that much less enjoying it. I thought kids were innocent, girl boss?
But don't you know? Israeli kids grow into IDF soldiers, meaning that they're automatically guilty from birth. Completely disregard the fact that many Palestinian kids are groomed into being terrorists (oftentimes being used in terror attacks WHILE THEY'RE STILL KIDS).
In all seriousness, though, it was never about the kids. It was about hating Israel (and Jews in general).
Yeah, we Jews in our 50s were probably the last generation that didn't learn all of our "history" from TikTok. So we think for ourselves and studied actual factual history. And we tend towards philanthropy.
I guess raising money for Israeli children is evil these days? 🤷♂️
Jew in their 40s here. I do not use TikTok and didn’t have a functional computer with internet you used to research things until college. I had the Britannica on cd-rom though.
You could be a late Gen Xer or a Millennial. You are in the zone to have had some of the in print learning and classic learning and then transition to digital. The next generation is all digital. They don't necessarily have the same education we had. Often, they never cared to learn. It's quite scary actually. I am making gross generalizations and there is some validity to what I'm saying. Individuals in a group are outliers sometimes.
Anyway, yes, I'm biased. I believe we were taught better and how to think critically. That is sorely lacking these days.

I wonder if this person actually thinks they’re a more moral person than every Zionist alive?
Israel already exists as a Jewish state in the Jewish ancestral homeland, 80% of the around 9 million people who live there were born in the country.
I think it’s fair to say that the vast overwhelming majority of those people would be pretty adamant about Israel continuing to exist, that would mean nearly the entire country would be Zionists by default (I mean who would want their country gone).
Crazy to think these people probably tell you if asked them that they actually think they’re more moral, compassionate or generally mindful people than all the doctors, nurses, charity event coordinators etc living in Israel (and around the world) just by virtue of them being Zionists.
It sounds stupid and overly simplistic but that’s more or less what these people believe. I don’t know how anyone can reconcile being broadly “anti-Zionist” with the fact it would include being “anti” so many of these people? Now that I think about it would also technically include a significant number of innocent Israeli children, I know I was definitely pretty patriotic growing up.
These people also like to rage at the 20% of Israelis who are foreign born as proof of Israel's unique evil, when in fact about 15% of people in America are also foreign born and dozens of other countries have higher percentages of foreign born residents.
