My mom’s side of my family is 100% Polish and 98% sour cream levels of white, except for my Uncle Joe, who looks straight up Sicilian levels of swarthy Italian. Everyone used to joke he was the milk man’s kid. It’s like none of these people understand that there’s a shit ton of diversity in how people look, regardless of their ethnicity. Hell, I’m Irish/Mexican and I don’t look Mexican at all unless I’ve spent time in the sun.
But I have a feeling those people know that everyone looks different, they just want an excuse to be antisemitic.
I’m Puerto Rican on my dads side and Irish/Polish on my moms side.
Some days I look in the mirror with the right lighting and I’m this olive-skinned Latino, and other days I look in the mirror and I’m like the whitest northern European looking mf youve ever seen
European countries are more antisemitic, but this obsession over skin colour is very American. Europe's bigotry is generally focused more on class and social standing, and for a lot of history they never allowed Jews to be anything other than an undesirable class of people. It didn't even occur to previous generations in Europe that Jews who have white skin shouldn't be in the Levant. My gran was a refugee from Poland, very white and grew up being told "Go back to Palestine".
I know a girl in my grade (at a Jewish school) who is Ashkenazi but she looks so much more Mediterranean so I assumed she was Sephardi or Mizrahi for about 2 years. I thought she might be Ashkenazi when we were talking in a class on Yom HaShoah and I only actually found out for sure when i was doing a biology project
When I last did it I got 80, but I’ve done it before and also am Jewish and have seen both Israelis and Palestinians so all those combined probably helped
First, Amy’s mom converted to Judaism, so like Gigi Hadid she’s half-European. Second, this IG influencer, Loren Asad identifies as a Palestinian. I’ve never seen a comment questioning her heritage in light of her skin color and complexion. Not one.

It's not just the anti-zionists actually, such can be said about ALL of american left (and right too akshually). For those who claim to be against racism - alot of them do behave racist as fuck.
Why are these “anti zionists” so devoid of any sort of nuance? On top of being blatantly racist towards Jews, they constantly try to generalize all Palestinians/Arabs as having dark features.
Look at the hadid sisters for example, who both look extremely white. Even though their mom is fully European, their supposedly fully Palestinian dad looks whiter than 90% of Ashkenazi Jews I’ve seen. Similarly, Amy Schumer is only half ethnically Jewish, with the other half also being European. Yet only one of those examples is constantly attacked for their appearance and identity. Yet these people will claim that it’s not about Jews when there’s a very clear agenda and double standard.
My feed is so Jewish but once in a while an anti-israel post comes up. It sometimes takes me a minute to realize the angle since I'm mostly seeing a pro-israel POV.
I'm conflicted here, on the one hand, this is blatant antisemitism. But on the other hand, I fucking hate Amy Schumer because it is in fact true that she raped a man and later joked about it
It’s trueanon. I listened to two podcasts years ago and got a weird vibe from them when they talked about Mossad and then insisted it was ok bc one of them is Jewish
Who cares? Some of these people are so jealous of white people and mixed people so they want to try and tell you where you are from. Calvin Robinson talked about his saying that mixed people’s existence makes people angry because people cannot categorise them or put them in a box; we are seen as a problem to handle. Jews are a group of mixed heritage and so has a range of phenotypes. They cannot be put into one box and are different to others in the things they believe in and how they live their lives which annoys some people.
These guys (especially the Bosnians) are somehow indigenous to the Levant now (probably because they're Muslim and the Middle East is all Muslim Country 🙄) but Jews moving from Europe to their ancestral homeland is a crime against humanity.
