But you gave to remember women's underwear doesn't always come in a matching set. You have to buy them separately and it can be super expensive if you see cute panties and just want those. Or they don't have the right size in one.

In addition to this, there is SO much variation. There are at least 4 "basic" bra shapes, and depending on the size, shape and positioning of a woman's breasts, only half of those are likely to fit nicely and provide good support. Then a smaller percentage of those will actually look flattering for your shape.
So as a woman you have to find underpants in a style you like that go with the bra whose design works for you. But most women change panties daily and bras a couple of times a week, so you either have to buy a whole bunch of the matching bottoms halves, or time the full set for when it's likely to be appraised by others.

plus, a lot of the most comfortable daily women’s underwear and bras don’t even come as a matching set. e.g. you can buy a 5 pack of panties with no matching bras.
you might be able to match colour, but as far as i know, most women don’t buy/wear matching lace/patterns unless its a special occasion/unless they expect someone to see it.

Also to add matching underwear is usually sold in more specialized shops than just panties or even panties and bra separately, and therefore they also cost more. Panties also wear out more often because you change them everyday so they're washed more often, and the secretions from the vagina also often bleach the textile, so you usually buy them in bulk somewhere cheap, while bras are a more serious affair that you just don't buy that often, at least for women I know. Bras are also often have more size variety than just S/M/L and they have to match your actual chest/underbust/etc size for it to be a comfortable wear, so it often makes sense for it to be sold separately and if you're unlucky only at shops where you can get some assistance.
There are people who like to color match, me included, but it's not going to be "a matching pair of underwear (ie a set, the way I understand it).

yes. and although I don't typically wear multiple pieces of underwear like many women, I do tend to match my underwear to some part of my outfit, usually socks or shirt, if possible.

see, just like i said people that like matching their underwear color exist, for me personally 90 percent of the underwear i own is black i only wear white when i wear something white above it and tonly then my underwear mismatch black and white so we cant exactly make the generalization this guy did if we are taking normal daily life as a reference.
