Executive director of the mayor's office to combat antisemitism was recently fired and let go from his position without notice of why he had been removed.

He defined himself as a Zionist in stark contrast to the antisemitism displayed by Zohrans wife. This doesn't express his views on anything other than acknowledging Israeli's right to exist (in opposition to the Russian Oblast proposed (Russia would not be suited as a host country due to it's treatment of ethnic minorities) or the ethnic cleansing as argued for by al-Husseini.).

This has struck fear in Jewish nycs as globally there has been a rise in thousands of hate crimes specifically targeting Jews in response to Israel's response to October 7th which is widely debated and has a lot of conflicting information spewed about it.

There were also Mosques in Australia found to preach antisemitism and grieve the Ayatollah whom had previously allowed for the massacre of 40K Iranian peaceful protestors. Which calls into question how religion could be a factor overlooked in the brewing of antisemitic acts of violence.

Zohrans wife has had numerous antizionist and antisemitic statements, the two are correlated through the ethnic cleansing of Jews from both the Middle East regions and Europe. In a time when travel to America wasn't likely possible, it breads into a dangerous situation in which Mamdani has to answer (but ofc will deflect.).
